「My family booked a premium room at a wellness spa. This is not what we experienced. Access to the room was via a narrow staircase into the loft. No hand rails. Narrow steps. Basic health and safety issue. The room felt like a half converted loft. Curtains simply hid what was basically an area of junk. The bunk bed for the kids has a large spike just above it. If a child where to sit up quickly i they would put a hole in their head. The one loft window in the room is low down and...

「Hotel Steenhuyse was a very nice place for me to stay on my cycling trip to Flanders. Bart was a great host. He even sat and had a nice chat with me at breakfast. My room was very large, clean, and well-decorated. Breakfast was a buffet with a variety of meats, breads, pastries, and cereals. As a cycling fan from the U.S., I couldn't recommend a hotel more than this one. It is a few steps away from the Tour of Flanders museum, and a short ride from the famous climbs of the Ronde. There is a kitchen that we were able to use and there are prepared meals available in the freezer. We are looking for a reason to revisit the area as we would love to stay at Gare 55 again.」

No bath despite the room being described as “perfect for families”. Obviously never tried to shower two babies.
