So peaceful

Its a little bit further out of Essaouira, but not too far too explore. I had the best time, it's so quiet and Nadine and Franck made me very welcome (and Radhija with her excellent nibbles). If you want a quiet break somewhere beautiful, I very much recommend

It was one of These best Hotels/Riads i have ever been to! The personal were extraodinarily friendly and hospitable. All in all was ist like a little paradise in the middle of nowhere The really only thing to recommend is that there were no air conditions at all Thank you very much!

Paradise on earth

We felt like princesses over here. The staff took such good care of us, really lovely. We had a great breakfast, served with a big smile, every day. One of us got ill of the sun, but Stefanie et Laurent helped us by supplying meds, bringing fresh tea at the bed and so on. We are already looking out to the next opportunity to visit this place, to surround ourselves with untroubled peacefulness and tranquility.

Beautiful, relaxing hotel

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at Dar Sahil. The hotel interior is beautifully decorated and very well kept. Stephanie and Laurent were perfect hosts and made us feel very welcomed. We enjoyed many amazing meals cooked by Laurent and Stephanie. This hotel is a peaceful relaxing retreat which I would recommend to anyone!

"Fabulous tranquil haven"

We stayed at Dar Sahil for a week and had the most enjoyable relaxing time. Laurent picked us up and took us back to Essaouira airport which is only 10 minutes away. Despite being so close we weren't bothered by air traffic noise at all during our stay. We would still recommend this hotel if flying into Marrakech as the road between Essaouira and Marrakech is a very good standard and would be a very easy journey. We ate dinner several times at Dar Sahil and each time was different, made to an incredible high standard and a delicious treat. In fact in our opinion the meals we had at Dar Sahil exceeded those we had in restaurants (which were also very good standard). Stephanie and Laurent both obviously enjoy and find pleasure in cooking and this definitely comes across. We cannot recommend the food enough. Breakfasts were also really good with many home-made preserves made by Stephanie. The breakfast set us up for the day and we didn't need to eat again until the evening. Our room was very comfortable, cleaned every day to a high standard with a big comfy bed. We also had our own private seating area outside the room with outside table and chairs.. We can't express enough how relaxing and peaceful we found Dar Sahil, it was perfect! We are already looking to return in the future. Definitely recommend.

Wonderful stay with a lovely couple

My wife and I and our little two and a half year old daughter had a fantastic stay with Laurent and Stefanie last week. It's clear that they adore children and they made it a magical experience for all of us. Their home is immaculate and one of the most beautiful we have ever stayed in. The sheer tranquility was the perfect antidote to our previous visit to madcap Marrakech. Wonderful memories include our daughter playing hide and seek around the beautiful and extensive grounds, her becoming obsessed with their 'Turbo Cochon' board game, giggling and dabbling her toes in the swimming pool and jumping around on the outdoor bed. Stefanie made some delicious and healthy food for her which she wolfed down. Once she was in bed, we were able to relax and watch swallows diving and swirling around the pool in the dusk with tasty homemade nibbles that our hosts had created. I recommend eating at Dar Sahil, as they are incredible chefs and concocted a range of different meals, such as whole wolf fish, fish tagine and lamb skewers. All the fish was purchased that day by Laurent at the Essaouira fish markets. We were incredibly sad to leave and our daughter got a big hug off Stefanie. She still talks about the stay! We'll definitely return for another visit.

En couple, nous avons reservé dans cette maison d'hotes ; tous les critères d'excellence sont requis aussi bien par la qualité d accueil de stephanie et laurent dès notre arrivée, par le confort de la chambre, les espaces extérieurs jardin, allées ... et la superbe piscine et pour finir nous avons diner le soir en formule table d'hôtes : repas sans fausse note laurent aux commandes digne d'un chef ! Vraiment à plus que conseiller ! nous y retournerons sans hesitation;

Lovely hotel with kind friendly owners

We had a brilliant week at Dar Sahil, lovely owners, beautiful hotel, amazing pool and the food they cooked in the evenings was DELICIOUS! The whole experience was incredibly relaxing. Definitely would advise staying here if you are heading to Essaouira, little tip - if at all possible definitely rent a car, it's cheap and easy to do when you arrive and makes the whole experience much easier. The local taxis struggle to find the hotel.
