「Loved our stay last week. Whenever we need to stay in Shrewsbury, We always check availability here first. We only had a standard room, but we had everything we needed including sheets (on this site it says the sheets aren't supplied, THEY ARE) refreshments etc. They don't do breakfast, but there was a really nice cafe across the road, the avocado bowl was amazing 😋」

「Quirky building which makes a change from modern chain hotels. Rooms are very spacious. Breakfast is available and very good quality although as you have to wait for it to be cooked, it's not ideal if you are in a rush to get away in the morning.」

「Great location for a place to stay in Shrewsbury. Abbey Foregte is close enough to the town centre for walking in, but quiet enough for staying. Parking was plentiful at the weekend. Room had everything you needed - plenty of tea & coffee, as well as corkscrew and wine glasses 😉. Would recommend staying here.」

「Smallish room as expected but we'll appointed, clean and in great location. Took us roughly 15 mins wall through a park, over bridge and alongside river into town. We were lucky to have the limited on site parking space. Room was quiet, bed low but comfy. Nice stay. Have only given 3 stars for staff as we actually did not need to meet any. So, not applicable.」

「Lovely property -- a lot of stais to get to rooms, but a very nice location」

「The room we had was super charming and had everything we could possibly need. I got the best night’s sleep of my entire trip while we were there. I would most definitely stay there again if I were in the area again.」

「Old Post Office Hotel is a decent hotel located conveniently in the town centre of Shrewsbury.」

「The hotel is spotlessly clean, staff very friendly and give good advice of the area. It is a lovely walk into the town too. The food was exceptional everything of choice you could possibly wish for.」

「Crazy tight parking, witnessed one lady crawling through the hatch to get to the driving seat to get her car out. Short staffed, service was slow at the restaurant, took 45 minutes to get a drink, and no they were not busy just untrained people. Young Chef at breakfast had a bad attitude, slamming down dishes and cutlery, completely put me and family off of breakfast. Good location for walking the town of Shrewsbury, and the bus station is next door, so you don't have to unwedge your car from...

「Would have been a 5 star review but I asked the first night if staff could kindly remind other residents to move away from the front steps of the building whilst smoking kate at night as it comes into the bedroom window. Second night I had to ask 3 different gentlemen to please move away as their smoke was keeping me awake and affecting my asthma. Two were very apologetic and moved but the 3rd I got abuse from and it was not nice😞.」
