This motel was great to explore the area. It was close to the highway and good for an overnight. The room was clean and the area was safe. While the hotel was dated and could use a little TLC, we would definitely recommend Katahdin Valley Motel for anyone looking to explore the beauty in this part of Maine.

Easy to find, convenient parking. Helpful staff. 24/7 convenience store and gas station next door, so essentials are covered. Close to Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument. Staff was friendly, helpful. Under new management, sign said, 2026.

The room was filthy with bugs in the bathroom, by the sink on the counter I had to clean it with Clorox before my grand daughter an I brushed and wash our face before going to bed. Then we go to take a shower it was horrible I had to use a hand towel to put in shower for both of us. As my granddaughter was stepping out of the shower there was a bug which I was able to get it and throw it outside. I then took pictures bc the bed I felt the springs as I got up next morning I noticed stains on the box spring I didn’t dare pull the covers back. Oh the blinds in the bathroom were broken 😡. I would never recommend this place to no one . Others I spoke to that were there for the same wedding said they had a horrible things to say about there room as well. They need to shut it down and do updates on the rooms new mattress for starters, and fix the blinds in the bathroom. If I could have left that Saturday I would have. I D NOT RECOMMEND FOR ANYONE TO STAY THERE. It looks great on your site but not in person. I deserved my money back from this. NOT HAPPY
