Simy and his staff were just perfect from the time we checked in until we checked out 6 days later. No words are available to describe the beauty of Shelter Cove, CA. We had two days of sunshine while the last 4 days were cloudy, but that did not matter. Shelter Cove and The Inn at Lost Coast was heaven on earth. With our window open every night, we were able to hear the majestic Pacific Ocean from our room. We celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary during this stay and was treated to a complimentary bottle of bubbly from the staff. Highly recommend The Inn at Lost Coast and the village of Shelter Cove. The view was spectacular, I spent one night at this lovely hotel and had a great day checking out the beaches nearby. The staff is friendly, the beds comfortable, and shelter cove was unforgettable. Highly recommend staying here :)

The hotel’s dog friendly which is a plus for our road trips. The property is located right on the cliffs of the Pacific and staff was very helpful. The price tag was pretty steep however.

Remote with a view that can’t be matched!

We have stayed here before. It’s an older hotel with expansive views of the wild Lost Coast. The hotel is well maintained with recent upgrades. The staff are super friendly and will help you in any way they can. It’s remote, it’s quiet and it’s beautiful. For me, coming here is like coming home. I love it!

Beware of what you are getting for the Price

The views are amazing in any weather! The pictures on the website make the rooms look like luxury rooms but they are just a step up from a Motel 6, a little more sq footage. Also the room you think you booked is not necessary the room you will get. We were told that there must be a glitch in the two systems between Hotel.com and the one they use. But the views will take your breath away any time of the day/night that we would book again but know what we are getting in a room.
