THe view was spectacular: you are right on the beach. Sea otters, and shore birds, and even a bald eagle. Whale watching from the deck and some rooms. Queen suite with kitchen was fresh and moose motif abounds. Comfy with views from the room via big windows. The owner and staff are kind thoughtful people who went out of the way to ensure smooth sailing. Book ahead. This place is priceless. Agape❤️

Breakfast was nice. Staff was extremely friendly (Kelly from Idaho). She gave us fresh baked brownies and great conversation. :-) We saw otters in the Bay and a couple of seals. Although we missed seeing it, a whale also went by earlier in the day. Our room (#6) was excellent, looking out directly over the Bay and had reserved covered seating for us on the deck. Blankets (on the deck) were available to stay warm. Books and games were available in the kitchen. It was very cozy. I'd highly recommend.

Away from the cruise ships in Seward

Location is incredible— on Resurrection Bay with views of the water, mountains and so many otters. Beds were very comfortable. The heat works and bathroom is clean and nice. Easy check in and out. No public transit options. We loved staying in the yurt😀

Beautiful views - right on the edge of the water We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and liked that it is close but not in Seward, away from the town. Quiet, peaceful. We saw otters, porpoises, a whale, bald eagles - all from the lodge deck! The owners are friendly!

This is a wonderful, peaceful and gorgeous property at the end of the road in Seward. Kendall is an excellent and engaging host, and runs a beautiful establishment in a beautiful location. At times it can be a little challenging to get there since bus service doesn't run and some taxis in Seward don't like to go down the dirt road, but call Bob at 907-362-9090 and he will take you there. For us the isolation of the place made it all worthwhile. You can sit for hours and just take in the majestic mountains and the bay - it's paradise!

Comfortable lodge.

I don't think we were in the room for more than 6 hours. The room was spacious and had all the amenities you could want. It was dated but comfortable. We were in the converted barn that is not attached to the lodge itself. The space included a well-stocked kitchen. Beautiful views of the Bay with an easy walk-up to the water. Had we stayed longer we would have enjoyed more of the amenities such as the rocking chairs featured on the cover photo.

Your search is over!

This is a must stay!! This place was absolutely amazing. The owners were very gracious, hospitable and always available. The view of Resurrection Bay was beyond my expectations. This would be an amazing location for a wedding or even an out of the way place for corporate type events. We stayed in the cabin for 2 days and it was super comfy (amazing bed) and just delightful. The breakfast was delicious and they served a great variety so you could eat something different every day. The drive out to the property is even beautiful, drive right along the waters edge passing 2 beautiful waterfalls. My only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. If ever in Seward again I will always come here if they have room. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay. Joann and Laura
