It was a lot of fun Karen, the owner, is very nice and willing to help you know where to go, gives good restaurant recommendations.
We enjoyed ourselves a lot and hope to go back soon
The place is historic and flowing with charm. What makes the place even better is the inn keeper. She is such a gem. If you are ever in Cottonwood this is the place to stay!!!!
The Cottonwood Inn was everything I wanted for this trip and more!!! The property is located right on Main Street in the heart of Old Town and perfect for exploring the shops, tasting rooms and dining. The proprietor, Karen, couldn't be more accommodating and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. I only wish we could have stayed longer.
This is a historical hotel with tons of character. Our room was updated with wonderful amenities but had a very warm home feel to it. Original hardwood floors that creaked made my wife and I fall in love with the place. Right outside the door are all the gift shops, bars, wine tasting places and Cafe's.
Historic Hotel with lots of charm and stories!
Karen the owner communicated through text any needs or questions we had.
Cottonwood is a lovely town with lots of shops, galleries and restaurants.
We stayed in the Wine Room. Be prepared for a small bathroom in this unit, but even being a large man I managed just fine.
Loved the tempurpedic mattress! The common front balcony was very cool with views of Sedona in the distance.
This is a great, historic hotel and while it's 'old' it's very well done and kept up nicely! Looked just like the photos! There is no lobby, so the owner will provide you with access codes to get to your room, so don't be surprised about that. For Cottonwood AZ it's a bit pricey, but the room was worth it. It had a kitchenette and plenty of coffee in the am, and the amenities needed were there. When i'm in the area again, i would love to stay here. Plus its in the middle to town and you can walk everywhere...shops, restaurants, little park.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Room was nice, location was great. Windows let in a lot of street noise and you could hear noises from other rooms.
My best friend and I absolutely loved this place! It was cute and cozy and we loved the historic factor - who doesn't want to stay at place where John Wayne and Mae West graced the halls. We stayed in the Sky Watch room that had fun cosmic decor. It was very clean, well maintained, and had enough space for us two (a living room, kitchenette, and bedroom). The kitchenette was a little limited if you planned to cook, but we didn't need it. It only had a sink, fridge, and microwave. It was also right next to the balcony entrance, and even had a telescope for use. As for technology, they had wifi which was nice but the TV was very limited - only local channels and VHS. There were some decent VHS movies to select but if you're expecting premium TV this isn't the place for you. Finally, the owner Karen was fabulous! She took us up to our room to show us around, took us to the balcony talked about our dining options, and offered some complimentary/discounted dining options (free wine tasting at one of the nearby tasting rooms ( five door down to be exact) and 20% off at the Red Rooster). All in all, I loved this place and Cottonwood and can't wait to return!
For a film buff or someone of historic bent for life in the thirties (Al Capone was in town) or the forties --this is the place. The owner will tell all about the town and the best place to eat with recommendations for off-menu fare. Ask for the John Wayne suite if available (the bed is much bigger and better than it was in his day but he was a cowboy and you are not). Your stay will help to support the owners in her dedication to the preserve the historic character of the old town.
