I understand that there is a policy but the experience we received deems an exception. The room smelled of cat urine, the bed had stains and strands of human hair. The bathtub was not cleaned and had black stains. I had multiple bites on my body and my partner and I did not sleep due to the smell and uncleanliness of the bed. The condition of the room was no where near satisfactory and borderlines health concerns due to the animal urine. We had to leave the room this morning due to the inability to withstand the smell.
The front desk associate was not helpful or apologetic and said regardless of the rooms uncleanliness it was expected for us to stay there for the next 4 days. How is this acceptable?
We left the room keys and left the hotel and are now having to look for somewhere else to stay.
I expect a refund from the hotel or Expedia because this experience has not been good and we now needing to find somewhere else to sleep for the next four days.
