This park was dedicated to Jimi Hendrix in 2006, but it is nothing more than a sign and a stretch of grass and pavement. However, the Jimi Hendrix Park Foundation is hard at work dreaming up the future development of this park. They aim to motivate youth and others to achieve in music and art, and strengthen the cultural pulse of the Emerald City. So for Jimi Hendrix fans, stop by in a year or two. In the meantime, kids and dogs will appreciate the lone fire hydrant parked in the middle of the vast grassy expanse. I should also mention that it is adjacent to the Northwest African American Museum which is a discovery in its own right.
