"A very friendly welcome, they were happy to accommodate our very late (11.30pm) arrival after we travelled there on the ferry. The owners have recently taken it over and in the last few weeks completed an overhaul of the bar/restaurant area which looks lovely. We didn't try the evening meals but the breakfasts were phenomenal, a proper Scottish breakfast that really sets you up for the day. "Lovely setting. Folks who have difficulty walking would have major trouble here. I was disappointed in some of the food. I was very disappointed that we could not access the pool when we wanted to. Great for the community kids, but definitely should not be listed as a hotel amenity."

"We enjoyed our stay at Caladh in Stornoway. The location was perfect, as we arrived late off the ferry into Stornoway. The staff were friendly and helpful. Thanks for a lovely stay."

"We arrived late, they were just about to wrap up serving dinner. Manager said just sit at the bar - have a drink and eat your dinner first then we will take care of the luggages. They took our order and served us delicious steaks, wine and then helped us with our luggage. They did all this smoothly and naturally, which made us feel very welcomed. Breakfast was great, not elaborately large spread, but enough of each category to meet our 10 veggie and protein intake targets effortlessly and delicately. Overall we couldn’t be happier and left very satisfied with the service, food and our clean, large cottage. If we come back to Highland Scotland we will definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone also."

"Great staff from check-in to the in-house bar to housekeeping. All were very professional and helpful. Breakfast was standard British breakfast. Bar and restaurant were very good. Which is nice since the hotel is a ways from other places."

"The hotel was nice. The food at the Brassels was better than the Cruzerie (?). The hotel was pet friendly. The rooms were a great size and comfortable. Unfortunately, we couldn't do much as you have to book everything in advance. We were not aware that you had to plan ahead."
