Das 3. Bett war ein unzumutbar harter Schlafsessel, auf dem nur uneben ungemütlich schmerzhaft zu schlafen war. Ein anderes Beistellbett wurde auf meine Nachfrage hin am nächsten Tag allerdings sofort aufgestellt. Das Frühstücksbuffett ist für satte 14 Euro extremst spärlich gehalten mit nur einer Fruchtart und keiner Brotauswahl, es gab nur Brötchen und kleine Croissants.

Schönes Schlosshotel

Schönes Schlosshotel in Schöningen, große Zimmer. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Paleo-Museum und Elm. Gutes Frühstück. Restaurant leider nur zeitweise geöffnet, andere Restaurants in Schöningen eher sehr einfach.

Wohnen (wie) im Schloss

Wir hatten das Turmzimmer gebucht. Das war komfortabel eingerichtet: 2 Sofas im Wohnbereich, ein bequemes Bett und ein großer Kleiderschrank im Schlafbereich. Das Bad bot Dusche und was man sonst noch braucht. Ins Turmzimmer musste man allerdings laufen (kein Fahrstuhl), auch im Zimmer hieß es Treppensteigen, zum Bad nach unten, zum Schlafen nach oben. Das wussten wir. Wir genossen die besondere Atmosphäre hinter dicken Schlossmauern. Einziges Manko, das Internet funktionierte aufgrund der kleinen Fenster und dicken Wände nicht. Hervorzuheben sind noch das besonders zuvorkommende und stets freundliche Personal im Restaurant und die sehr schmackhaften Gerichte.

Het is een prachtige locatie met grote kamer, goede bedden, ruim sanitair, een handige lift voor het vervoer van bagage en een restaurant met goede keuken. Fietsen konden veilig binnen gestald worden.

Das Schloss sowie das Hotelzimmer haben uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Sie haben uns alle Wünsche erfüllt. Das Essen im Restaurant war ebenfalls gut. Eine schöne Umgebung, Barockgarten und sehr nette saubere kleine Innenstadt. Das einzige was wir zu bemängeln haben, ist der nächtlich Lärm der Jugendlichen, die sich auf Dem Parkplatz vor dem Schloss treffen. Das hat unsere Nachtruhe gestört, trotz geschlossenem Fenster. Wir kommen aber gern einmal wieder. Vielleicht war das eine Ausnahmesituation.

da ein Einchecken nach 14.30 nicht mehr möglich war , mussten wir unverschuldet ( Stau auf der Autobahn )2,5 Std im Auto verbringen . Zugan war erst wieder um 17.30 möglich . Ansonstens schönes grosses Zimmer

Zum Check-In war das Haus verschlossen und auch telefonisch niemand erreichbar. Nachdem eine Mitarbeiterin zur Öffnung des Hotelresaurants erschien und wir nach dem Zimmerschlüssel fragten wies man uns auf die Öffnungszeiten des Restaurants hin. So mussten wir vor der Tür noch eine halbe Stunde warten. Als man uns dann endlich herein ließ wurden wir noch oberlehrerhaft abgewatscht. Für diese Begrüßung darf man eigentlich keinen Stern vergeben. Die Mitarbeiter an den folgenden Tagen waren zwar freundlich, mußten aber mehrhfach darauf hingewiesen werden das am Frühstücksbuffet Sachen fehlten. Man merkt das die Einrichtung ca.20 Jahre auf dem Buckel hat. Die Betten sind einfach nur schlecht. Wenn man sich bewegt hört das halbe Haus mit. Die Bereitstellung von Warmwasser mit Durchlauferhitzern ist völlig unterdimensioniert. Die Dusche hat keinerlei Ablagen. Der Duschkopf ist verkalkt und verteilt nur ein paar Strahlen in willkürlicher Richtung. Die Farbe an den Fenstern bröselt vor sich hin. Von einem Schloßhotel in dieser Preiskategorie darf man wesentlich mehr erwarten.

Wir waren im Mai´23 auf einer Radtuor auf dem "Grünen Band" und haben hier übernachtet. Reception im Restaurant ist nicht ganz leicht zu finden. Empfang und Unterstellung der Fahrräder war sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Das Zimmer war in einem einwandfreien Zustand und "gemütlich" eingerichtet. Angenehm war auch der kleine Aufzug, der uns das tragen der Gepäcktaschen abgenommen hat. Sowohl das Abendessen im Hotelrestaurant als auch der Service war in jeder Hinsicht sehr gut und wir hatten nichts zu beanstanden. Ich empfehle diese Unterkunft.
