"Staff was kind, as almost all the Costa Rican people are. Hotel has stunning view and provides daily shuttle to beach. However, it's been 5 days since we left the hotel and the hotel administration has not yet returned our deposit. Not sure why they even held a deposit as no other hotels we've stayed at have done this. They've held 100,000 colones and we've talked to front desk staff, emailed them everyday since we left and still we haven't received our deposit back. It would be beneficial for more guests to ask them not to withhold our funds. There is really no reason why they would. "

Perfectly located in the middle of the main road so walking distance to restaurants but I would recommend a car or shuttle to the beach as it would be a steep uphill climb back."
