The staff was slow, rude, and could barely speak English. There was a sign on the door stating that the Fire Marshall had determined the hotel smoke alarm and sprinkler system was not working properly. The hotel had air conditioning in our room, but not in any of the common areas (first floor lobby, breakfast area, 3rd floor hallway etc). The hotel was still being remodeled in certain areas - like the ice room on the third floor, which was a mess. This property does not live up to Comfort Inn’s normal standards. It was an odd experience and unsettling about the sprinkler system and fire alarm system not working properly.
The hotel staff needs customer service training too, as we requested bedding for the pull out sofa and it was taking awhile for the desk clerk to bring it to our room, so my husband thought it would be helpful to go down and retrieve it (realizing it might be difficult for the desk clerk to leave the desk), and was scolded for doing so. I would not stay at this hotel again and would not recommend it to others.
