The bar at the hotel was great! Our free drink, provided with our hotel stay, was the gateway to a wonderful meal. The food was delicious and the staff were great The bar and restaurant were both very busy on a Sunday night. We didn't have reservations for the restaurant so we ate at the bar. We would love to eat in the restaurant at another Savannah visit.
The first impression of the hotel room was a musty smell. We have stayed at many historic properties, this smell was a first for us. Other things that were noted with our stay were that there were no windows in the room, the furniture was a bit "tired" looking, the chandelier was missing quite a few lightbulbs and the bathroom toilet moved everytime when used, as if it was loose or uneven. The lack of windows was not a deal breaker, it just wasn't expected. We opened the room door to help with the smell. The bed was comfy. Sleep was okay but there was a continual sound of water draining in the wall. We both commented on that in the morning. I did mention this to the front desk.
We would most certainly go back to eat at the restaurant or bar. However, the hotel would not be our first choice for future accommodations when in Savannah.
