The hotel is very charming and located in a quiet part of town in an old stone building. Check-In was easy. The owner is very nice and extremely helpful. The room was confortable and clean. The quality of the breakfast was outstanding. Croissants, crepes, bread, yogurt, fruit, juice, specially made coffee, eggs on request and much more. The service in the breakfast area was wonderful as well. We will definitely return.

Fantastic hotel

What a Fantastic little hotel, set in a lovely town location which is quiet but only 2 mins from bars and restaurants. The host were great as was the room and breakfast.

A lovely old hotel full of character with friendly staff in the centre of the town. Easy walking distance to many restaurants and some local caves. The breakfast offering is fantastic and a great bar.

The hotel does have a few parking spaces right outside the door of the hotel and if a spot wasn't available, they were happy to park the car for you. The rooms were very clean and the hotel was within walking distance to shopping, dining options.

Lovely and well decorated hotel and room. Every amenity well catered for. Loved the rituals toiletries and excellent shower area. Location was perfect in old town Saumur, everything in walking distance. Parking by owner quick and convenient. Would stay again.

Very high quality. Beautiful restoration of a medieval building with sumptuous rooms , that while not large are so fully equipped you feel true luxury. Front desk, bar and other staff were very helpful and friendly, seemed to really like their jobs and patrons!

Fabulous location

This is in a fantastic location. In fact it couldn’t be better. The hosts were wonderful and couldn’t do enough for you. The only reason I couldn’t give it 5 star is because the shower cubicle was so small I couldn’t move around in it. We were in room 21 so perhaps this would be better in other rooms. Otherwise I couldn’t fault it so thank you

The living room on the website isn't available!

We chose this hotel for a number of reasons - location, decor, online very positive reviews, etc. We also annually spend a few days in the Loire and part of the time we like to relax in the parlor or lounge and read or catch up on email. The parlor at Hotel Saint-Pierre looked lovely online - and indeed it was as we saw it at one point - but now the manager or proprietor uses it as their own space. This was very disappointing as it was one of the priorities when choosing the hotel. We asked the proprietor about the space - that's when he informed us that he uses it now. HOWEVER it is still on the hotel's website as one of the available common spaces! We definitely felt misled in this instance. Overall, the hotel was quite charming - the beds weren't as comfortable as we'd have liked but otherwise it was a comfortable and welcoming space.

We chose a hotel within walking distance of Saumur and it was so convenient for all amenities although we were visiting on Sunday and Monday when everywhere is closed. We chose a junior suite which was on the top floor but there was a lift which helped us as we had to make our own way to our room without assistance. The owners were delightful but the accommodation was very tired and the shower room was extremely small with room for one person only. There was room in the suite for a freestanding bath but there was no bath and we felt as if we were in the roof. The breakfast which had been given good revues on Expedia we felt was fairly basic with only a hot option of a boiled egg and hams on request for nearly 20 euros each. We can only base our experience on other hotels we visited on this trip and we were slightly disappointed.Parking was available but limited and the owner prefers to move the vehicles due to the tight space available. To conclude the hotel is in a great central location and the owners are delightful but was disappointed with the accommodation and breakfast. Would rate it as 2/3 star only
