This place is amazing. A little older but you would never know it in the inside. Everything was immaculate. Staff were helpful and friendly. Definitely going to stay here again when we get back to the soo.

Clean, refurbished, nice rooms with easy, convenient parking. Plenty of restaurants and shopping a short drive away. Staff was friendly and helpful. Coffee in the room would be nice.

Our stay at the Last Resort was wonderful! The rooms were clean and beautiful. The shower was amazing! The place was easy to get to. You can see the ships, Freightliners and other boats out of your room window. The best part is our dog got to go with us! If your looking for a wonderful place to stay try The Last Resort!

The renovations were done very well. Fresh paint, new showers and bathrooms. We stayed four nights and were very happy. The beds were on the soft side and plush, which was a huge plus for me. I know some folks like firmer beds...so keep that in mind. Plenty of hard bed motels out there. The sheets and quilt were high quality and very nice. Everything was super clean. They did not provide shampoos or hair care stuff, but that is fine. The shower was hot and excellent...rain shower head too. Nice towels. The AC and heaters worked well, as well as a nice ceiling fan. There was Ice available, and parking in front of your door. The location close to center of town was great. The TV was new and had many apps and channels....bring your passwords to get into your accounts, or you will not be able to access some of them, and or you will have a lot of commercials. We will absolutely stay here again. The bait shop was a hoot, even though we were not focused on fishing, as many customers seemed to be, I did buy a few lures...haha.

I always say that for those who are traveling to Michigan’s UP that they should not expect luxury. With that said, The Last Resort should be some folks first option when looking for a place to stay. It represented the UP perfectly. The office combos as a bait and tackle shop, and a friendly dog was there to greet us at the door. The room was perfectly simple. Clean floors, fresh paint, and a comfortable, quality king size bed. The room was very decently sized. It had a dining table, dresser, and a twin size bed we didn’t use. Bathroom was newly renovated and clean. All that you could ask for in a stay in the UP. Would absolutely recommend.

The motel has been completely redone recently and it was wonderful! It was so clean. ( Probably one of the cleanest I have stayed.) The owner was very friendly. It was so centrally located to everywhere we wanted to go. Would DEFINITELY stay there again!

Very nice updated motel. Room was very clean and pleasant. The location was convenient to the downtown area shops and restaurants. It also is across the street from the river and we saw a couple boats come in. The young man that checked us in and also was there this morning at checkout was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the area, he gave us some great tips. It’s very refreshing to see a person who likes their job and is good at it!
