The hotel is wonderful, staff is extremely pleasant, the hotel is located next the medieval city, the pool is very nice, the only negative, is we felt that the rooms are on the small side.

Our family had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Plaza Madeleine Hotel & Spa during our summer stay in Sarlat. Everything about the experience was close to perfect. The hotel’s location could not be better — right in the heart of Sarlat, just steps away from the charming medieval streets, lively markets, and great restaurants. The service was outstanding throughout our stay. Every member of the staff was friendly, professional, and genuinely attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room was very comfortable and spacious, quiet, and spotlessly clean, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The atmosphere of the hotel, with its elegant decor and spa facilities, made it the perfect base to explore the beauty of the Dordogne region. Both Sarlat and the surrounding area are simply magnificent — full of history, amazing food, and stunning scenery. We truly loved our time here and would return without hesitation. Highly recommended!

Nice little boutique hotel, centrally located at the beginning of the old city in Sarlat. Clean, comfortable and quiet hotel. Rooms are adequate in size and the AC works great. Service was friendly and helpful. Breakfast is €19 pp and probably not worth it for a limited buffet, but you're paying for the convenience.

Very nice place to stay

The hotel is just in front of the pedestrian area. Parking is not easy on-site, but there are free big parking lots at 4 min by foot. The rooms are not big but cosy, very clean and functional. The staff at the reception and the pub were very helpful and fantastic. The SPA is nice and open from 9 to 21. overall, a very good stay.

Great Hotel and Location for Dordogne Touring

We spent 3 nights at Plaza Madeleine while exploring the Dordogne area. Great location in Sarlat-la-Candeda. The staff was very helpful in making dinner reservations. The room was great. Breakfast was the typical buffet. Because we were out for most of the day, we parked near the hotel and paid for 1-2 hours of parking. After 7pm parking is free until 9am so we would set out before 9 for a cheap way to park conveniently to the hotel. This may have been easier in the off season (late Oct) than it might be during the summer.
