This was an AMAZING stay. Beautiful location and wonderful hosts. The drive up to the place took getting used to, but we expected that with a rental car. We stayed during the terrible heat wave and it was absolutely our safe haven during this part of our vacation. Thank you to our wonderful hosts - the breakfast was much appreciated with croissants and chocolatine and coffee every morning. Merci beaucoup. We hope to come back!

Nelly and Frank could not have been more welcoming! The property is lovely with shared kitchen facilities available and a wonderful breakfast provided each morning. Frank was helpful with recommending day trips as we explored the beautiful Dordogne region. I would happily recommend this property to anyone looking for accommodation in Sarlat.

Everything was great. It was much closer to Sarlat than we expected and had great access to the routes out of town to all the places we visited. The room was a good size, immaculate and it is very quiet and serene. Breakfast was simple but on time and well prepared. The hosts were very helpful on a variety of topics. Would definitely recommend La Bayardine and would be happy to stay again. One minor note, the driveway is long and very tight and could be an issue if you have a large or wide vehicle,

We loved this beautiful guesthouse and our gracious, welcoming hosts. Nelly’s jams and Franck’s yogurt were a delight at breakfast. If you are staying in Sarlat, try to stay here. It is a bit removed from the medieval city, though only a few minutes by car, or an easy walk. We really appreciated the peace and quiet.
