The balcony I chose couldn’t see the sunset, and the room was very small, the toilet didn’t even have an exhaust, the air conditioner was very noisy, and there were two doors in the room leading to the next door, although it was sealed, it felt unsafe, and the sound insulation was particularly poor

Elevator 1 was broken down. The remaining two elevators were malfunctioning during our entire trip. No communication was provided to guests regarding the issues. The elevator stopped on every floor. Other times the doors would slam closed on guests. Staff knew about the problem and offered no solution. Horrible service and an unsafe environment regarding the elevators. The building was not maintained well overall. Was not made aware of parking fees until we arrived. Reaort fee for who knows what because the amenities were not good. Their market provided a horrible selection of food. I would sincerely not recommend this property to anyone.

My wife and I have stayed at the Hilton Regency for the last 12 years or so - my observations on this review spans this period, not just a single stay (which with every hotel can be hit or miss). -The shining star of the property is the pool and outdoor bar. A real constant over the years and where we spend much of our time. The pool is always clean - seems they’ve installed a saltwater system. But please stop with the upbeat techno music ALL day. Maybe Top40? -Hallways and guest room are becoming dated. Need to lose the carpet and install more hard surface. Room decor hasn’t changed in 10 years. -This is a pet friendly property (which we didn’t realize - but totally ok). However when booking a Balcony King we were assigned a room on the second floor that clearly had pets occupy previously without being asked if an animal room was ok. The low quality (seemingly patio-type IN the room) carpeting was beyond time to repair as visible stains were reported to the front desk upon departure. -Showers are in dire need of updates. Enough said. -There’s now paid self park of $25 daily. This is unfortunate on top of an existing $30 resort fee. Just feels like guests are paying for many extras now — but it must be acceptable as I see many newer hotels in the area have excessive self park rates. -Overall: Still a great value for money no less. Quietly tucked back on Boulevard of the Arts. Staff is always friendly / welcoming. Beautiful pool area you cant beat.

Hotel was in a good location to get around, however for a Hyatt Regency, I expected the rooms to be cleaner and more up to date. The rugs were all stained, they only replace the towels and made bed. The bathroom was very old.

Sliding door was missing a stopper, pinched my finger pretty badly. Not enough chairs around the pool had to sit on the ground. Noisy neighbors being rowdy at 11pm at night. Onsite dining was good food but slow service.

Everything was nice beside the bedding. It was stained and nasty. Also, why are there no duvet covers? Two sheets covering the down blanket is disgusting since the blanket was stained.

The property itself is very pretty. The pool is nice and the food was excellent. However, the rooms were sub par compared to other Hyatts we have stayed at. Very old, uncomfortable beds, and the AC didn't work properly. Plus, we paid for an upgrade with a balcony and we put on the first floor over top of the valet parking.

Property was beautiful, clean, modern, elegant. Balcony was very pleasant. Room was large, but not well thought-out or well utilized - lots of square footage with no furniture. Not one comfortable chair, and no lamp suitable for reading. Only two small drawers for unloading clothes from suitcase, and they were behind another door. Bathroom was large and modern, but tub had no grab bars, which every modern room should have. Pool and hot tub area were beautiful.

Very pretty and good location. Can walk in the area and convenient to the water to eat at waterfront restaurants. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Well done! One light was out in the self-parking lot (which I reported) and since only 2 lights toward front, another light should be added to back of parking lot for guests.

The hotel was worn out and could be cleaner..the price was very high for the quality, and I felt tricked a bit about what I was getting…I’m not familiar with the area. People were camping out in the lounge eating tons of brought in food and treating the pool deck like their living rooms..it was weird.

The Hyatt Regency is supposed to be a high end hotel and we paid the price as such but the hotel is in desperation need of renovation. The room and bathroom were very outdated and sparse. The restaurant was mediocre. The pool which we paid a $30 a day resort fee for had green algae. I have a pool and I would not ever keep my pool in such poor dirty condition. Pay the extra money and go to the Westin. The Hyatt was such a disappointment. From the dirty candy stripped rugs in the hallway to the bathroom tub and walls which had patched work it needs to be cleaned and renovated

Needs renovated
The hotel could be so nice but it is desperate need of renovations. The beds are awful. The bathroom is old and toilet ran all night. Dining was ok. Pool area nice.

Has Been Better
I have stayed at this location before and loved it but this time the bottom of the pool looked dirty and unpleasant. The tiki bar closed at 5pm although sun was still up til 6:30pm. the air conditioner in my room rattled so loud at 1am I had to just turn it off and in the middle of the night the toilet decided to run till i got up and jiggled the handle. It cost me over $400 for the night and was less than impressive.
