He shared information on special things to do in the Algarve as we headed further south. A gracious sincere host who took time from his busy schedule to share valuable information with us. I would highly recommend a night or 2 at this lovely property. Bonus, the breakfast was a variety of fresh and delicious foods! "

"É a minha segunda vez no Monte do Giestal, mas tal como na primeira, uma estadia prolongada de 5 dias. Tudo é bom aqui, desde as amplas e equipadas casas, super confortáveis, ao espaço exterior, sossego, comida entregue a porta de casa pelas sempre atenciosas funcionárias que não deixam que falte nada. Mais, venho com o meu cão, de porte grande, e também ele adora o Monte. Tem bastante espaço para correr livremente e é muito bem recebido. "

"A beautifully maintained property, room very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Charming and elegant owners, justifiably proud of there home and business. A petting 'zoo' of lovely birds and animals is included in their land. Dogs were welcomed and good safe walking is immediately outside the gate. Lovely breakfast included. Nearby town did not have much to offer but we ate well there."

"Lovely retreat, be aware it is miles down a dusty track which can be difficult to find at first. Facilities are lovely and was not crowded when we went in July. "

"It was a relaxing place to rest after a long drive from Porto city. Surrounded by farmland it was a quiet and serene, Staff was professional. Breakfast was great...ample choice and variety of delicious fresh food. Although we did not utilize, there are two swimming pools available. Added bonus were the farm animals....great for all ages. "I had a clean, comfortable private room and bathroom. The hostel is well located and that ir is very close to the bus station. I enjoyed the included breakfast. Everything tasted fresh. If I was ever to return to Beja, I would definitely consider staying there again. I should also mention that the staff was very helpful."
