Everything was fabulous in our stay at San Marcos. Easy booking and we had 5 reservations booked. The front desk staff, so polite and friendly, especially Joe who could speak some English. The rooms were spacious and clean and the breakfast with made to order food.

This has been our fourth stay with San Marco. Each time we have such excellent service. From the polite front desk when checking in, to the convenience of using the elevator, the clean rooms and comfortable beds, to a delicious breakfast. And to top off our stay we go to El Cappuccino and receive %10 discount with our stay. Gracias! Until next time

A group of 6 booked rooms through Expedia. A very lovely hotel. Front desk staff is easy to work with, a delicious hot breakfast every morning with omelettes and fresh fruit and other items. The new elevator was really helpful with our luggage. Staff is so nice. We will be back!

My first time staying here and the staff was very welcoming and helpful. From heating up leftovers from a restaurant, to acquiring a taxi. It was very peaceful and relaxing. Will definitely stay again. Gracias

El Hotel San Marco has excellent hospitality for international guests. They go above and beyond to meet your requests and needs. They show you to some of the best Italian food in the city. The hotel is a quiet spot in the city, outside the center if you wish to explore other areas of the city but close enough you can reach the center easily by Uber or walking. Their staff is friendly and hardworking. I had an excellent experience and will return. ¡Gracias!

Great place to stay, so much more comfortable and unique than the standard issues boring hotel. We found a lovely hole in the wall restaurant nearby with everything made fresh to order. Staff at the hotel were very accommodating when we needed to store our luggage a bit after check out, and also were gracious about our very limited Spanish. Felt very safe walking around the neighborhood during the day, including to the Malecon, but at dusk it felt a bit more unsafe. Fridge in the room and grocery store and restaurants nearby, plus an outdoor seating area by the pool with tables and filtered water (much appreciated!) made it easy to get and eat dinner here if desired.

If I could give more stars to this hotel I would definitely do this! My room was always kept clean and refreshed, the staff has always been very understanding to me. I was busy in Santo Domingo, so I would have to leave the hotel very early every morning, and they were so nice to serve breakfast an hour earlier for me. Also, my payment did not workout for some reason, and I was a bit worried about it, but the staff worked so smoothly and they did whatever was possible to help me. They are really helpful, welcoming and understanding to their guest. I will definitely come back one day. Thank you for everything!

It is far from the center. The rooms are large. They put 2 singles to create king size bed by basically putting many under-covers under top sheets to make comfortable. Staff is very friendly. I am having challenging problems physically so cannot walk far. If one is able they can walk to the ocean and many nearby places. Staff is very friendly and treated me like family. I couldn’t ask for more.

Hôtel San Marco

Nous voulions un hôtel bien près de la station d'autobus pour nous rendre à Punta Cana. L'emplacement était parfait. Nous avons pu aller acheter nos tickets de bus tôt et revenir déjeuner à l'hôtel. Très pratique. En plus l'hôtel était absolument magnifique avec énormément de cachet. Les lits étaient un peu trop durs mais sinon c'était absolument parfait. Annie

Make it great, change the AC's

This is a very nice hotel with ample and confortable rooms and polite and nice personnel. I would have rated it higher is it was not for the problems with the air conditioners. I had to request room change twice because the AC was not working, the techitian they said was coming to fix it apparently did not show up or could not fix it. The hate was full and I heard other customers complaining about the same problem. Th units are old and need to be replaced by new, energy efficient and quiet ones. Not such a big investment for such a small hotel.
