We just spent 10 days at the resort. It was a great time. The weather was awesome it was very HOT be sure to pack enough sunscreen we ran out and had to buy another. They sell in the gift shop and at the shops across the road right out the front gate. The rooms were clean and the bed was oh so comfy. Food had great variety from authentic Mexican to pizza burgers hot dogs and fries. I am sure everyone can find something to eat each day. The pool servers and bartenders did a great job of keeping the drinks flowing. The staff in all the restaurants and around the property were all so kind and smiling. They have a great group working there. The entertainment crew at the pool does a great job of keeping the music and the games going for some fun during the day. My only thing with them is I really feel they should be in bright exciting colors to identify them easily the grey and white seems drab for the fun crew. The ocean is great but it was strong somedays so be sure to keep little ones in arms reach. There were vendors on the beach not many and none were pushy a simple no thank you and they carried on. The shows in the theater were great. Only 1 hour long which was perfect to show off their talents and to enjoy after supper. We tried all 3 al a carte restaurants and all were delicious too. Great atmosphere and presentation at all 3. All in all it was a great stay and we have no problem coming back one day. Thank you for the wonderful vacation.

The room was very clean when we got there and was clean all week. Great work by cleaning staff. We asked the front desk to get Diet Pepsi instead of Pepsi and we wanted it that way all week. It took 3 times asking the first day and a few days before we only got Diet Pepsi

The place needs so updating in the rooms . The place doesn’t have any entertainment during the day and the entertainment at night in the theatre is lame . There is no music by the adult pool and I tried to use my speaker and they wouldn’t allow that either . Also if you book a 7 bay catamaran tour with Nexus just know it is NOT. A catamaran , it’s more like a ferry boat very disappointing and they also say beer is included we were limited to 3 beers 😡😡 Barcelo is meant more for older people .

The room was clean and comfortable. The shower door needed some repair but it worked. The staff was lovely. When the hotel is full there is not enough shade or lounge chairs for everyone. unless you go for the premium level. It did not seem possible to book on that level on the expedia site.

The food was just Ok nothing special. Staff was great and attentive. Drinks were tasty, but so watered down. The chair on the beach and pools was frustrating, even with a note under your door saying no saving chairs. At least one third of the loungers had towels on them saving spots. The staff needs to go around every hour or so and collect them. Overall a very disappointing stay and will not be returning.

Really enjoyed it. Have a great time. However, it was advertised that there was four restaurants – the seafood restaurant was not open the entire three weeks we were there. We do not eat sushi. Totally unhappy about that. That left us with only two restaurants and buffet – so for variety we had to go out to restaurants which added to our costs. Advertise four restaurants only give you three – false advertising.

This is the cleanest resort I’ve been to. We made many wonderful acquaintances with staff. In the lounge Herman and Adelina, pool bar Alvaro, premium lounge Adelpha and many more. Service is excellent and always with a smile. The buffets could be a bit hotter for sure but restaurants are excellent.

Staff was great, hotel was lovely. Too many people reserving chairs that they dont even end up using. But other than that everything was fantastic.

The first room they gave us was right above the Mexican bar which didn’t open until 10 pm and shut down at 2. We didn’t get any sleep for 2 nights. They finally moved us but it took all day to wait for another room. This resort is a very senior oriented place or else young families as there is a water park. It is very quiet with not much to do. The beach is beautiful. My husband was moving two tables together in the buffet for our group and the glass on the table shattered as it had been sitting in the heat. Very accidental. They made us pay for the glass which in my opinion is bad P.R. We would not go back to this particular resort.

Really enjoyed our stay. The room was perfect, the cleaning crew was friendly and always attentive. Thank you Maria. The front desk staff and Ms Pavel were also the best. Would definitely come back for another stay

Our stay at Barceló Huatulco was amazing and well exceeded any of our expectations. We had a beautiful room with a beautiful view. All of the staff are very professional, friendly, and keen to help. The food is absolutely delicious at Barceló Huatulco, all of the locally sourced items coupled with excellent preparation is a delight to the palate.
