"We booked this hotel under the pretense that the resturant was open for business and the taxi price rate was similar to the rest of Ecuador or the reviews in our travel book. Hotel served a nice breakfast BUT no other food is available so one must go into Puerto Ayora for lunch and dinner. The taxi rate to and from hotel into town can be anywhere from $10-$15 each way..... if u want to freshen up after a long tour that will be 4 taxi rides......$40-$60 per day. "The location is just a couple blocks off the major tourist blvd; far enough off for a quiet night but close enough to walk and be in the middle of everything. With a local market, shops and restaurants, It’s a great location to feel you are part of the community. Very family friendly. As a group of females traveling with children, we felt very safe here.
