It’s in a small community with a 10 minute walk or three minute drive to anywhere in the town the beaches all of 15 minutes away if you walk maybe five minutes by car I’ve been in this town before but I’m staying and so far so good I haven’t checked out yet

Cute, clean and convenient to Santa Barbara. Walking distance to some really nice shops. We walked each day to the Red Kettle Coffee which was great and dinner at The Nugget which was also nice. Overall, nice place however as others stated it’s right on highway so be prepared for that. noise didn’t bother us, they provide sound machine and earplugs if you need them

Hospitality was great- Sofia and Natalie welcomed us and we’re very helpful with suggestions and offered us wine/cheese and then to come back later for desserts. Breakfast was good. Unfortunately we could hear the guests upstairs walking around which disturbed our sleep.

The staff welcomed us with wine and cheese/ crackers and was very accommodating and provided stellar service. The inn is beautiful with ocean view across the highway. Like all other places in the area you hear the highway, but not the ocean waves. The inn also provided lil breakfast in the morning, but there are other cafes within walking distance. Love this place and would stay here again.

check in was awful
Check in process was a nightmare. Hotel requires separate forms for billing even though it went through hotels.com. Staff was not polite when dealing with these issues.

Love this Inn!!
Fabulous stay! Chris checked us in and was fantastic. Made us feel welcome, told us about all of the amenities (free cheese and wine hour, dessert hour, etc). We arrived a little early for check in. Our room was ready. Such a cute and lovely place to stay. Great location. Will definitely stay again!

Our stay was very pleasant. Checking in was simple and nearly complete when we arrived. Just a few signatures and it was done. The complimentary afternoon snacks were perfect appetizer prior to going to dinner. I do miss the small puff pastry they used to have for snacks but that is splitting hairs. The room was clean and quiet. The music playing on entry was a nice touch. The continental breakfast was good and the chef was nice and helpful. I would recommend staying here.

Nice weekend in Santa Barbara
Nice hotel and clean! Set right beside 101! Noise from highway on patio but slept well! Breakfast was great and staff was nice!

This is the cutest little Inn. The staff was extremely friendly and the Breakfast was outstanding. The room was very homey, fireplace was beautiful and jacuzzi really nice.

The place has a beautiful view off your balcony. The room was relaxing and inviting with a jetted tub. The staff was friendly. The only complaint I have is the freeway noise is very hard to drown out. Nothing they can do with that because of the location.

However, as you rightfully pointed out, the freeway 101 running parallel to most beautiful California coastal towns is less than ideal. We deplore it and indeed cannot do anything about it. Very unique property. Rooms are fantastic! Be prepared for hwy noise (but they provide ear plugs). Service could be better in terms of not closing the office at 3 pm. That is WAY too early.

Dear Beth, I read your heartfelt comment about your stay at the Inn On Summer Hill last month. We deplore the freeway running parallel to the cozy beach town of Summerland. Thank you for your compliment about our rooms. As for the service, I hear your wish for improvment. Unfortunately we have had to adapt to quite strict sanitay measures. Cute motel-like property overlooking the freeway and elevated train tracks. Convenient place to stay away from Santa Barbara if you don’t mind train and highway noise.

The Inn is very cute but noisy next to the main hwy. We had a nice view of the ocean and the cookies and breakfast were good. We were disappointed that they put us in a room below someone else and there were only 2 other guests staying at the Inn. With all the empty rooms that night, you think they could have given us a different room.

Laura was so gracious and friendly checking us in and out. The continental breakfast was much more than we expected. It was a lovely room and comfortable bed, Even though the 101 is right across the street the room had ear plugs and a white noise machine, we didn't need either. It was quiet.
