"I love the Lemon Tree - visit twice a month. Areas for improvement: It seems to be difficult to get pool towels. I have to keep finding someone to open up the laundry room - why not just put a couple in each room or at the pool? The outside bar has the potential for a lovely atmosphere - very romantic! However, the seating at the outside bar is stained. Not a nice vibe! Also needs to look less like an accident and more complete / polished "

"The free breakfast was terrible if there was enough . Twice we arrived in the last 30 minutes and most food was gone. Honestly it was not very good to begin with. The free bikes were in terrible shape. Brakes were broken changes rubbed and couldn’t get seats adjusted. Pool was excellent and clean , room was nice. Staff members rated from poor to excellent depending on the member."

"The hotel is nice, but the decor is old and outdated. And every single thing costs extra, from parking, water in the room, etc. The people were really nice, although we didn't interact much with them. I guess that's good."

"The property was conveniently located within walking distance of the beach promenade, many restaurants and State Street, the commercial strip. It had a motel feel with breakfast included, an outdoor pool and a hot tub. The staff was efficient and very helpful. The bonus is the bicycles they have available for personal use. It has a pleasant family vibe."

"small, quaint hotel perfect for what we did which was just a quick 2 day stop in Santa Barbara. The wine and cheese in the afternoons and the breakfast in the mornings were a perfect (free!) way to kick off the afternoons or mornings. The staff was very friendly."

"We had a pleasant stay, but there are some things from a woman's point of view to be aware of if you decide to stay here. What little light they do have in the room is very dim. The vanity lights aren't good at all and the vanity itself is very small. So if you're on a girl's trip, just be aware that you should bring your own mirror with a light, you won't have much space to get ready and there aren't any other outlets next to the other mirror. "
