Very well equipped and clean, nice hotel. Pool, tours, delicious meals, shuttle bus with the professional hotel staff made this a great stay at reasonable prices. Very polite helpful staff made everything smooth. Live entertainment at night too!

Lovely hotel with great restaurant

We stayed as a family of 4 for 5 nights and had a lovely, relaxing stay. Being able to order a La carte in the evening was a great treat. The shuttle bus to Sorrento was helpful. Responsive and kind staff. We had a lovely holiday. Thanks.

We were disappointed. Bath had one light which dimly lit. What 4 star location has plastic glasses in the bathroom. Extra charges for clean pool towels seemed excessive. Staff was friendly. Best part was the nightly entertainment. Violin and piano player was absolutely excellent!!! Location was convenient and their shuttle to Santorini an appreciated service.

Quaint hotel, great service, the restaurant staff especially are amazing. Near some exceptional restaurants, walking distance from Sorrento, plus the shuttle bus makes excursions easy.

The hotel was very nice, but there were some issues. There was some exceptional staff members that went above and beyond; Angelo in the dining room and Carmen and Joseph at reception. Some of the other staff members at the reception were very hard to deal with. The hair dryer in the room kept shorting out and the air conditioning didn't work so well. The pool was very nice as well as the lounge areas.

A good full service hotel. A good place to setup base in sorrento. The shutle was very convenient to keep you close to town, but allows you to escape the tourists to a quieter part of the area. Room was good enough and although a bit dated, it actually adds to the old world charm of the hotel. The restaurant was great with a rotating dinner menu and the selection of pastries and cakes was impressive. The restaurant staff we're fantastic and really go out of their way to be hospitable.

We had a very enjoyable stay. All staff were excellent and they arranged three trips for us. The courtesy bus was super, the driver was prompt and very helpful. We were able to watch England rugby in Sorrento and still get back on the courtesy bus. We enjoyed seeing all the local sights. Would recommend Hotel Caravel.

A fine place to stay.

Hotel was great. Its not brand new, but its very clean and the staff was excellent. Location is about a 20 min walk from downtown sorrento but they have a free shuttle that runs close to there every 30 mins. Wonderful places to eat near by. The only issue we had is we thought the beds were very hard, but thats not something to really complain about.

This hotel is a little dated but spotlessly clean with staff that are friendly and very helpful to your every need. Pool was great and the location was superb....walkable to Sorrento but they have a free transfer bus which is handy. No complaints about the food though we only had breakfast every day and it was decent. Not all rooms have balconies so it's best to make sure you have one if thats your thing. All in all i would rate this hotel as a 9 out of 10....suited us.....good value for money.....

Lovely hotel. Spotlessly clean everywhere. Very friendly and helpful staff who can’t do enough to help. A 25 minute walk into Sorrento which is a long way in the heat but the hotel provides a frequent free aircon shuttle bus there and back. Also lots of lovely bars and restaurants near to the hotel so you don’t have to go into Sorrento centre if you don’t want to. We ate in the hotel each night. Menu different every day and lots of variety and always something we enjoyed. Pool was clean and never too busy. Plenty of sun loungers. Hotel provided towels for the pool. Rooms spacious and fantastic aircon. Great views of Vesuvius and sunset from the roof top terrace. Would love to stay here again.

Nice property - personnel however...

Good property. Location OK if you can walk a bit. Shuttle service twice an hour (need to book). Nice pool. The main concern is the personnel. At least we had too many negative surprises: - Keys to someone else's room: Got keys to a room where we found someone else's luggage and belongings... They moved it out and we settled for a while and started to unpack. Then were asked to move to another room. Not great. - Head(?)waiter acting quite impropriate to several guests: E.g. Kissing women's hands. Worst we saw: pulling a hair from a lady's eyebrow at breakfast! - Inaccurate bill from pool bar service at check-out: As we only had one order I challenged the amount and asked for the receipt from the bar. "We can't get it, we only have the amount"! I tried by explaining that the amount cannot be right but got only "I'm sorry". When being persistent we got the receptionist to check at the bar. Came back and were sorry that they accidently charged two bottles instead of two glasses... Perhaps we were unlucky?

The staff was great, especially during the free breakfast which was very good. 1 day they had eggs to order, wish it was every day. Lots of choices, even gluten free pastries. Room was good. The free shuttle to Sorrento was the best. It's a 7 minute drive.Try to book at least 30 minutes in advance or you may have to wait for the second run. Though that's not a long wait. My only minor complaint would be they were unable to provide clear information on what the excursions the hotel provides (I think there is someone there on Saturdays who books as well, but we weren't there). We booked an Amalfi/Positano big boat group tour. We wanted the small tour but they were already booked (do this in advance if you want). The large group was much cheaper. We asked when it returns, we were told 5. We got back a little after 7 and were super exhausted. It was very hot. Amalfi and Positano are similar. After doing 3 hours at Amalfi, 2 1/2 at Positano was a lot in the heat. However, it was a really good value. My last night I asked to book a taxi to the airport and was told it was too late. Eventually they found someone. We had to pay 150 cash or 200 card. 150 is close to what it should be, but I prefer to pay card. That being said, front desk are all super friendly and try to help. Last complaint is they keep your passports at the front desk in plain view of everyone. I saw the desk unoccupied a few times. That's just a nightmare waiting to happen. That being said I would definitely return.
