The wide sandy beach invites long walks at low tide, while the charming village cafes serve fresh seafood with sea views. Fossil hunters search the shoreline beneath dramatic cliffs, and nearby Whitby offers its famous abbey ruins and Captain Cook connections.
My third time staying at the Wilson Inn. Always a very welcoming hotel in a great location on the North York moors. Rooms are spacious, well furnished and maintained. Bar, which always has a warm feel, has good selection of food & drinks (local beers) - with restaurant seating also available. Highly recommended.

This hotel is really special. Great Victorian ambiance. Amazing view of the abbey and bay. Do not expect TV but wifi is good. Loved the all antique decor.

This property is so fun! Your room is above a really cool, esthetic vintage bar. We had the top room and it was pretty big. You couldn’t hear any of the people downstairs just the delivery people and trash collectors, outside. The views from the windows look out to a big ship/restaurant. It’s also a stones throw from the train station.
