An exquisite stay. The best breakfast of our trip so far (local cheese, homemade jams). Rooms are large, immaculate and tasteful. Situated right on the town square, moments from bars and restaurants. Hosts attentive, friendly and accommodating. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Chic & Quaint Right in the Center or Sancerre

This place is gorgeous. It is done in a very chic style, but also very very comfortable. The host was incredibly warm and kind, and the breakfast was delicious with warm croissants and a wide array of food. I cannot recommend it enough.

Perfect place in old town.

We much enjoyed our stay here, the welcome was warm and the room much above average size for the price. It's right on one of the main squares and the restaurant at which we ate was just across the road.

A perfect place in Sancerre

Having booked & stayed on our outbound trip, we had no hesitation in booking for our return & this time for two nights. It is a lovely place right in the centre of Sancerre with all the restaurants & attractions on your doorstep. The facilities are first class & the hosts are lovely, accommodating, personable but professional in their approach. We will not hesitate to book here again in the future.

Best place to stay in Sancerre

This was our third stay in this boutique b&b in the heart of Sancerre close to a number of lovely restaurants. It's a modern, well run b&b. The owner makes you feel at home.

We had such a lovely stay at La Place B&B. The location couldn’t be better as it’s right in the center of the village, a few steps to all Sancerre has to offer, including restaurants and shops and great views of the valley and the surrounding vineyards. It’s an old house that was completely renovated with great taste. The staff and breakfast were also great. Highly recommend!

Sancerre delight

A beautiful, I would call, boutique hotel, stunningly renovated with superb attention to detail. Restaurants all around within 1 minute walk. Superb breakfast provided with so many home made items and our hosts so friendly.

Such a wonderful surprise to find this gem of a small inn in the center of Sancerre. Tastefully appointed and designed, the house retains all the character and charm of its origins. La Place is an immaculately clean B&B that is tastefully decorated. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating from extra pillows to recommendations for dinner and wineries. The breakfast was perfect with an assortment of fresh and delicious items. The location couldn’t be better; right on the Sancerre Square.

Beautiful B&B

We stayed here as a stopover having travelled from Beziers in the south. We were pleasantly met by Ophelie who speaks great English. The house is comfortable and tastefully dressed. Our bedroom was equally smart and we had everything we needed including a good night's rest. Breakfast was plentiful and of good quality too. A big well done and congratulations to Ophelie and her husband for a successful year of running their B&B and bringing about a lovely place for guests to stay in charming Sancerre. La Place B&B Sancerre is the perfect home away from home. I felt totally at ease and so happy in this beautiful and stylish accommodation. Every room is artfully decorated and exudes relaxation. I love how the house, while completely renovated still holds memories of the past. We stayed in room number 5 and it was very spacious with a dreamy huge comfortable bed, a lovely sitting area, and a large, well appointed bathroom. Our host, Ophélie, was so very gracious and a delight to converse with. I adored the breakfast she presented in the cave: lots of delectable choices and so fun to chat with the other travelers there. La Place is located on the town square, within steps of wonderful restaurants, wine tastings, shops, and a fun walking tour around this amazing old town. Find the tourist office a block away where they will set you up with a link to direct you to each historical site. Besides taking in this incredible town and area, a 45-minute drive through the gorgeous countryside got us to Guédelon Castle, a medieval recreation that is super fascinating. It was so nice to come back to La Place B&B and I didn’t want to leave. In fact, it’s one of my all-time favorite places I have ever stayed. Merci beaucoup, Ophélie and Thibault!
