The staff was awesome but the property has 1 to infinity problems/issues. We were switched to 3 different rooms due to some type of non working equipment.. For example, first room the toilet was leaking on to the floor. Second room the shower apparatus was unproperly installed and was falling apart while dropping rust pieces on the shower floor. The hot water doesn't work. The continental breakfast should be called snack for a 5 year old kid. If it wasn't for the staff we would have left to another hotel.

Place is close to Isla Saona excursions (2 blocks). Breakfast was advertised as continental but they great coffee, pan cakes, omelet, and ham and cheese sandwich. The staff at the hotel was super friendly

Incredibly helpful staff. Beautiful, clean and comfortable rooms (though nowhere at all to hang your towels and no almost no space around the sink). Modern building in the absolute centre of Bayahibe. Lovely breakfast and venue for breakfast, right on the water. The pool was closed for renovations and we were never informed, which was disappointing. But they did arrange transport to their sister hotel in Dominicus with a pool, at least.

Excelente opción en Bayahibe, el hotel extremadamente limpio y el personal muy amable, el desayuno muy rico, quizás las habitaciones no son muy grandes pero tienen todo lo necesario, además hay descuento en los restaurantes soficu que también están excelentes y con muy buena vista al mar, otra ventaja es que está a unos metros de dónde salen las embarcaciones, si estamos de nuevo en Bayahibe regresamos a Soficu On the Beach, Gracias.

Un excelente hotel en el centro de Bayahibe

Elegimos este hotel por su excelente ubicación en el centro de Bayahibe, a escasos metros de la costa donde se encuentran todos los restaurantes y punto de salida para la isla Saona. El hotel parece que ha sido construido o reformado hace muy poco, y calidad-precio es una ganga. Las habitaciones son tal como se ven en las fotos, las camas cómodas y limpias, asi como las toallas y el resto de la habitación. Nos ha encantado el desayuno, con un zumo natural de chinola (maracuyá) de infarto.. para terminar algo muy común en República Dominicana es la amabilidad del personal, y en este caso así ha sido con creces. Os recomiendo reservar con ellos el viaje a isla Saona y no arriesgar con gente que ofrece este tour por el pueblo.

The bedroom was nice, but the outlets didnt work and the bathtub water was crazy it pass from cool from hot in seconds. There was a lot of noise very early in the morning, because they were remodeling and start to work too ealy. The pool was empty and they never mentioned before arrival, so it was really frustrated and because of the remodelation there was a lot of dust and my husband develop an alergic. The place was dirty. If they clean the place and finish the remodeling, i think would be a nice place. The bedroom has ocean view, really beautiful and is located near to several restaurants with good food. The beach is 15 min walking and you can take tours to others island thar are nearby.
