The staff was excellent; Kudos to Zamir, Javier and James and the entire staff. The periodic odor from the seaweed is distracting and obviously beyond the control of the resort. The pool albeit small was very clean. This is a small resort with a lot of charm. However, it being older the hardware in the bathrooms and the linens needs upgrading. That did not prevent us from enjoying our stay.

It's a wonderful location right on the beach! The staff was nice and accommodating and the food at the bar was great. I will say there is alot of sargassum in the water right of the shore so I didn't go swimming but that has nothing to do with the property itself. Would recommend if you're staying in San Pedro!

The hotel is a cute comfortable little boutique space close to everything! The staff is outstanding! Zamir, James and Martha made me feel like family! My room was clean, well kept and stocked everyday the bed was very comfortable and soft pillows! The bar and kitchen staff(James) was like talking to an old friend! Fun, kind and caring and super helpful! He did everything around the hotel. The food was fresh and very tasty along with the drinks. The pool was clean and refreshing. If your ever in Belize San Pedro don't miss out on staying at this GEM! Thank you Staff for such a great stay! Jackie Bates

Staff at Mata Rocks is exceptional, from the manager Ernesto to the bartenders and wait staff to the housekeeping staff. They helped with everything - cart rental, snorkel tours, restaurant recommendations... Room was very comfortable (except it needs reading lights for the beds.) Pool was fun and spotless, and the beach area was immaculate. Bonus points for having pickleball courts!

Tasteful rooms with very comfortable beds. Our room opened onto the pool area that was spotless. Best part of this resort is the restaurant and bar. Food is really good and the bar tender James is wonderful , he is very funny and makes your stay fun! All the staff were excellent and helpful.

Loved our stay here. Wasn’t sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. Only stayed for two nights but for the low cost was a great place to stay. Simple rooms but clean and very attentive staff. Breakfast was delicious and the beach is right there and very walkable to restaurants nearby along the coast. Would come again!
