"We stayed at La Hacienda for a couple of days while we visited Calibunga Water Park and the family loved it. It was our second visit to San Jose and by far this hotel was our place of choice. The place was quiet, clean and felt much safer than other hotels in the San Jose area. The parking lot and all of its trees provided great shade for vehicles as well as visitors. Not to mention the designated smoking area away from the hotel entrance that still provided sitting under the shade of the trees for those who partake. The only one downside that we encountered was that we had to go all the way around the property and use the main entrance again if we used the pool or jacuzzi. "

"The property was clean and the common areas were well maintained. The history of the mansion was interesting to read about and it made the stay even better. The restraunt onsite was nice and the breakfast option was worth the money. We stayed in the newer building by the large conference rooms. The rooms are dark enough that you need to open the curtains if you have sub standard vision like me. The finishes have a high end feel and the air conditioner worked great. "
