Our stay at the Cottage Inn by the Sea was an amazing one. We especially loved the spectacular location next to the shoreline. Enjoying the stunning views along the ocean-side walkway with its many seating areas and having easy walkable access onto the beach were the most appreciated aspects of this property. Also, the sweet swag bag for our senior dog was a wonderful touch.

We had a wonderful stay here! Really nice room with comfortable beds and loved the cozy fireplace in our room. Also enjoyed the fire pits overlooking the ocean right behind the hotel. Staff was super friendly and attentive as well.

I liked the location of this property. The front desk staff that was working during the day I arrived was friendly. Upon checking out, I was not asked about my stay. I wanted to let them know that the only thing I didn't like was the fact that there was a lot of mold on one of the windows and in the bathroom ceiling plus window.

At check in I was told my room wasn’t available and I had to take a lesser expensive room. I paid for an ocean view upper level. When walking in the room that I was given, it wreaked of weed. The grounds are getting worn out and need attention. I witnessed multiple people and the front desk complaining about dirty rooms.

This is a great property to stay at the allow early check in and charged very little for late check out. It is right off the beach with great views and a short walk to the beach!!

All the employees that we ran into a really nice and I like the little sitting room where we could go and hang out and read and have some little snacks. I really liked that even though our view of the ocean wasn’t that large it was nice because we could sit on the patio and see it see the surf as it reached the sand. Too bad there wasn’t as much sun as we had hoped. And there were no lounge chairs. I don’t know

Lots of free parking, beach access, near shopping, restaurants and sand dunes. My grand kids love this hotel and enjoyed their stay. It has an A/C which is rare on hotels near beaches. Most have heaters and fans :)

The central AC was too loud for comfort and the exhaust blows out to the patio. The beds are rock hard. The bathroom had water damage and needed working fixtures and tub stopper. Odd that they expect us to let them know when we want housekeeping. I’m all for reusing towels but that’s disappointing I had to ask. Also, it would look much better if they could find a new spot for their housekeeping carts. It looked really tacky and took away from the property when I realized they park them outside all day. Will probably stay elsewhere next time I’m in Pismo.
