The meals were average at best, nothing memorable. The room was clean but not well stocked. The furnishings were old (curtains torn and dirty), mismatched cups with chips and stains. Only one of everything in a room for two people so we had to ask for the second coffee cups etc. the one plus was the water dispenser in the room that served hot, room temp and cold water.

Très bon tout inclus. En résumé dans un tout inclus, je ne m’attends jamais à la perfection, mais une prestation de bonne qualité. Ce que l’établissement a offert. Bon choix de restaurant (asiatique notre préféré). La majorité du personnel était parfait (un peu inconstant le week-ends). Faire attention à l’entretien (le tout blanc demande plus d’entretien). Samara est juste parfaite.

Desde momento que llegamos tuvimos un trato muy diferente en comparación con los extranjeros, en la recepción un trato tosco y poco informativos, en el restaurante demasiado tiempo espera para ser atendidos y las bebidas nunca llegaron algunos de los saloneros nos ignoraban como sino nos vieran, no había agua embotellada para los nacionales, el control televisor no funcionaba tratamos reportarlo a la recepción donde normalmente se reporta y el teléfono tampoco funcionaba cuando fuimos nos indicaron que no era con ellos sino con el área administrativa hacia donde nos dirigimos y nunca atendieron la solicitud.

It was an amazing place! We loved the pools, the food and the ambience. Staff were amazing too only had one or two that were inattentive or didn’t want to help you. Our room was incredible. Just beautiful. Water machine, espresso machine. We loved it!

Absolutely loved our stay here! Staff are beyond kind. Property is beautiful and natural. Rooms are large and contain everything you need. Samara is beautiful and offers a wide range of activities to do off the resort. Such as side by side rides, horseback riding, day excursions, scuba diving, and lots more! We planned a lot of them at the excursion desk upfront with Luis, he was wonderful. At the front desk of the hotel Diego, Donovan and Josue always were there to help with any and everything. Food was always great, Kenneth,Burner,Donny and Alonso were always there to help at the chill and grill and other restaurants. The spa is a must visit, I had a deep tissue massage from Celenie and it was much needed after scuba diving (use Samara dive school and meet 5 minutes down the beach!) the gift shop on site is so convenient, even offering shipping for coffee and chocolate, this was Josie, Eli, Maikol, and Marco to thank for that and also recommending all the best local snacks.10/10 resort

Upon arrival, the front desk was disorganized and not customer service oriented. We were simply asked for a $200 security deposit with no explanation of hotel amenities—no Wi-Fi details, brochure, or map. The hotel appears poorly managed and understaffed, and some staff members do not speak English.When we were escorted to our room, we immediately noticed issues. The bar fridge was not stocked, and the floors were still dirty from previous guests. We had booked an ocean view room, but the view was extremely limited—this should honestly be labeled as a “partial ocean view,” as the advertising is misleading.While the resort itself is small, quiet, and the property is visually nice with beautiful sunsets, the room had serious cleanliness and maintenance problems. The towels were dirty, yellowed, ripped, and had makeup stains. The glasses had visible lipstick marks. The sliding door did not close properly, leaving a gap that allowed bugs inside. The blackout curtain initially didn’t work, and once fixed, we saw it was heavily stained and possibly moldy. Although we reported these issues right away, it was disappointing that the room had not been properly cleaned to begin with. We were also locked out of our room multiple times due to malfunctioning key cards (the door lock batteries had to be replaced). The safe didn’t work and required maintenance to reset it. Towels were not replaced daily, and the shower had low pressure with barely warm water.

The hotel room was spacious and clean. The property is clean, well-decorated, and we felt very safe. The staff was very friendly and appreciated a friendly conversation. Many of the staff recognized my partner and me and remembered our drink orders. The pool is absolutely beautiful and well-maintained, but we wish there were more pool chairs with umbrellas, as the sun is very intense. The beach is gorgeous with safe swimming access, which was a huge plus. The restaurants were great, but we were unsure about how to access the Nikoa restaurant and pool. We only stayed a week, and we thought that if we stayed longer, the food options would get old, which was why we were trying to figure out the other restaurants. The Nikoa pool and restaurant seemed like a super-nice, new part of the property that was hardly used at all. We also attended the free yoga classes on-site at the hotel, and the instructor was excellent. However, the hotel gym was old, dirty, and had no AC, which was crazy considering it's over 90 degrees every day. Overall, we would definitely stay at this hotel again. We felt we got a lot of value for what we paid!

Great potential, but major issues across the board. Our room had a strong, unpleasant odor that came and went throughout the day, which made it uncomfortable. The door lock also broke twice during our stay, and one repair took about 30 minutes due to staff having issues with their equipment/WiFi. The all-inclusive experience was disappointing. Food quality was below average, and every day they were out of something—ranging from basics like orange juice to even chicken. That level of inconsistency is frustrating when everything is supposed to be included. The amenities were also lacking. One of the two pools was consistently cloudy and unusable, outdoor furniture was often dirty, and there was a shortage of pool towels. On top of that, the power flickered frequently and went out completely at least twice a day, even if only for a few minutes. Overall, this property has potential, but there are too many operational and maintenance issues to justify the cost. Significant improvements are needed before I would consider returning.

This is definitely a resort that caters to an older and less active clientele. Other than the pool there are no "activities" to speak of on the resort, other than tennis courts that are a 1/4 - 1/2 mile walk away from the main area. They were also short on pool chairs, so if you don't get there early you might not get one. The food was "good", but the options are very limited. Only 3 Lunch/Dinner restaurants and 1 Breakfast buffet. If you want food during the day you'll have to get it from the Pool Bar or flag someone down at the Main Bar. As for the bars, they don't open until 12pm and EVERYTHING shuts down promptly at 10pm. If you're looking for anything to do after that it had better be in town. The rooms were nice, but the water in the shower/tub/sink never got HOT and the room never really got cool enough to sleep comfortably. Overall, it was a very pretty resort, if not a little overpriced, and definitely for people at a slower pace.

Every staff member was attentive and welcoming. Room was large and very comfortable. All dining experiences were delicious with many options. Extremely positive experience for first vacation in 20 years!

Bar and restaurants service was verypoor incompétent staff but food was good,it take forever to get seen by the water or barman and alcohol was cheap generic brands. With a 2 night réservations they need to fix our AC 3 time and no water bottle available

Overall, the resort was amazing. I’ll start with the positives. It is a small, adults only resort. No line-ups, quick service, easy to navigate, etc. the rooms are large and spacious, with the toilet in a separate area on its own (nice feature). The AC worked great, there was a water machine in the room, and the balcony was spacious as well. One bartender in particular (at the pool bar) was amazing. When we tried to tip him separately, he wouldn’t accept it and put it in the tip jar saying, “We are a team.” The beach is nice and only a 30 minute walk into Sámara (cabs are available too). A few minor annoyances…the food options were very limited and the food was hit or miss. Some days it was really good and other days it was just meh. The room wasn’t completely cleaned every day - we couldn’t rely on coffee or fridge being replenished, and glassware wasn’t cleaned regularly either. Many workers only spoke broken English and didn’t understand us. Hindsight, we should have used a translation app. Finally, there was not a monkey to be seen. That was probably the most disappointing for us lol. Despite that, it was an amazing vacation.

Our garden room was perfect, with lots of space inside and on the balcony. The beach and resort amenities were great, with good options available for food and drinks. The staff were very pleasant. We really enjoyed our week at the Azura.

Amazing Staff Hampered by Significant Management Failures I have mixed feelings about our stay. On one hand, the employees were terrific—hardworking, welcoming, and truly dedicated to service. However, the resort is severely poorly managed. We faced daily shortages of basic essentials: no beach towels, pool chairs, bath towels, or even shampoo. The supply issues extended to the bars and restaurants, which were constantly out of staples like coffee, beer, and specific menu items. The staff does their best, but management is failing to provide them with the tools to run a functional resort. I would not stay here again.

Upon arrival, the front desk didn't seem organized at all. Seemed like a poorly trained staff. Once we were escorted to our room we noticed the bar fridge wasn't stocked and the floors were not mopped (still dirty from previous guests). The room was spacious. There wasn't any hot water in the shower :(. We did eat at the Italian restaurant, but i can't say that the food was that great either :S THE MAIN COMPLAINT - my husband received a call from his doctor back home that his test results came in and he needed to get back home and be admitted to hospital ~ this was a truly unexpected event. So the day we checked in, we had to book a flight home the following day hence only staying 1 out of 7 nights. We explained this very unfortunate situation to the front desk manager and we felt that she understood the urgency and would request a provision on our account as we had to fly back home. A month later, we were informed that the hotel would NOT refund any portion of this stay - BAD KARMA Azura Beach! This was an emergency, we provided hospital documentation from our return and they chose not to offer any compensation. I realize that we were past the cancellation date, but common, that's POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!

No towels when we checked in and they often didn't replenish them without asking, toilet was never cleaned, power went out often, asked concierge a question then was directed to someone else then back to him then back to someone else... That happened on multiple occasions. Battery in our door died and it took them over an hour to change it. Overall did not feel customer service oriented whatsoever. The food was good, the pool bar staff was phenomenal (Farid, Yesin, George) without them it would have been a complete fail of a trip however I would not recommend this location to anyone.
