"St Hildas is a lovely place to stay. The reception staff were very helpful and welcoming. The rooms are decorated and equipped to a high standard. I took a gamble and stayed in the Las Vegas room, but fortunately it payed off and I feel like a winner!"

"Wow - we were blown away by this feast for the eyes! I fully appreciate that the decor at the hotel won’t appeal to everyone (art is after all subjective) but, as a photographer myself and with my art loving husband, we found our two night stay here to be a fitting and beautiful end to our three week tour of the North! In addition to the decor we had a comfy bed, great food (they really looked after my coeliac requirements) and the staff were wonderful. We love Saltburn so of course knew the surrounding area would be amazing as always but this hotel made our stay perfect. There is literally something new to see everywhere you look! Giraffes in the dining room, swans and flamingoes on the walls with a huge bear to greet you on arrival and quirky wallpaper. Loved the whole stay!"

"A wonderfully presented, clean and comfortable stay was had at The Railway cottage. The facilites were very good and extra touches such as blackout material avaliable to use was very useful in a heat wave. The cottage is in a good location for travelling to tourist spots. We found the matresses uncomfortable as they are very soft but this is just personal preference. I would also agree with other reviews that the backyard needs some attention and could do with a tidy up. It can be noisy as the property is on a main road with train track and steel works behind it, however we got used to the noise and slept well. It's great to be able to cook some of your own meals at the cottage as there arent many places locally to eat, within walking distance. Its also great to have a washing machine. Overall we would recommend a stay at this cosy cottage."

"Cameron (owner) was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of the local area, he also prepared a great breakfast. Our room was on the top floor, a comfortable and decent size room and large bathroom, it also had sea views across the harbour Our visit was for a birthday celebration, we were given a card and a bottle of Prosecco in our room which was a nice touch and much appreciated. We would definitely recommend it as a place to stay in Staithes, a good base for visiting the surrounding areas."
