Family friendly, and rooms are large and spacious for family of 4. Each child had their own bed.

Very nice unexpected surprised. For the price of the night, this was excellent. Clean, everything in the room in top shape, very professional staff, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

Big hotel. Free breakfast. Great free parking. Only a small problem with AC. Rooms are big and bathroom great. Restaurant is great
I always enjoy my stays at Hotel San Luca. It is a big hotel (by Italian standards) centrally located in Battipaglia, just a short distance off the Autostrada A2. The hotel has an ATM on site, restaurant and pool. Battipaglia is the second or third largest town in the Salerno province so there are many businesses, shops and restaurants. It is a great place to stay if visiting Paestum or a day trip to the Amalfi Coast! Highly recommend

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
The hotel is rather dated. Lots of scrapes and chips on furniture, skirtings and especially the bathroom.
The service however was very good. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We had one evening meal in their restaurant which was lovely!! Liked the “robot-server” !!
We have just returned from a 6 night stay at this lovely hotel.
We were here as a vacation - but to stay in the Amalfi, the costs were so high. This hotel gave us a better value option, but with a great service & standards.
The location is great - you can get trains easily to/from Naples & Salerno. From Salerno, the Amalfi is free to explore. Trains were great value & the hotel were kind to sort out taxi's for us to get to/from the train station (€10 max)
The hotel itself was clean & tidy. Our room felt very large (not complaining!) considering the time we were spending there, it was great to have the extra space. There was also a shared balcony - but we didn't ever see anyone else on it.
The room had everything you could think of - when we needed an iron, reception were able to bring one to us quickly. Again, when we requested extra pillows - they came quickly. It was cleaned every day - which we really liked (post covid - not all hotels offer this!)
The breakfast provided each morning was plentiful - really tasty fresh food. My husband particularly liked the giant tub of nutella that can go into fresh croissants.
Everyone we spoke to (breakfast team, reception & cleaners) were always smiling & nothing was too much trouble for them. Even if some didn't speak English - they were patient with Google translate.
If we came back to the area, we would 100% be staying here again. THANK YOU!!!
We arrived late in the evening as the restaurant was closing. Even though the kitchen was closed, the matri'd offered us salad plates that were delicious, filling, and much appreciated. The room was quiet with a nice view. Breakfast was lovely.
Hotel San Luca appears to be a relatively large business hotel in commercial district . However, clean, quiet, with attentive and knowledgeable staff, who provided great leads on local sights after our tour of Amalfi Coast.
Wonderful beach location. Clean and comfortable. I'm sure it is very busy and harder to get into in the summer but we were here in the off-season and it was still very nice although most restaurants in the area were closed.
Everything was super, but 2 remarks and advices for the excellent Hotel:
-Please try expand more food variety at breakfast
-The parfum in the lobby or elevator areas is very nice but some people could be allergic for the smell and start coughing.
Please don’t take These remarks in a negative way but your hotel is very very good and derserves 5 stars

Good location but definitely not 4 star. Our room was dark and dingy. Noise from large events made it difficult to sleep. Possible food poisoning from scrambled eggs left out and not in a heated server.
We checked in and switched rooms because the smell of cigarette smoke was very strong. The second room they put us in had dead bugs on the floor and bathroom had a cracked vanity mirror. When i told the front desk about the smell of smoke in the room the staff said they can’t control what people do in the rooms. Meanwhile they have a wall of cigarettes for sale behind the counter for sale, i kid you not!! If you enjoy smoking this hotel is your dream vacation stay. We called another hotel north of here and left. Didn’t ask for our money back or anything, we never unpacked we just left.
This is not a 4.5 star Hotel. This is a 3 star hotel. Also, very disappointed in the staff because we had an electrical issue with the mini-fridge. Instead of moving us, the Manager tried to fix it and almost killled himself in front of my family. The whole floor lost power. The moved us to another room which was not as nice as our current room. The said they would discount our stay. No problem. When I checked out and I asked about the discount they said, since i paid thru Hotels.com they couldn't give me a discount. They should have known this and gave us dinner vouchers at their restaurant. Will not come back.

Late night hassle
My family got into Rome late, saw a few sites, and then drove to this hotel, which had been booked six months in advance, arriving at about 2:30am. It appeared to be closed, but there was a night clerk who let us in. Unfortunately, he spoke no English, which while not required, would have made things easier. We did not buy a phone chip and activated the cell sparingly, but his operation was even more old school. For 20 minutes in the middle of the night four exhausted travelers watched him unable to find our reservation. He couldn’t use a computer, ultimately our reservation sheet was found in the date book in the 22nd slot, not the 20th, and they had given away our four person room. Eventually much literal skin scratching and after licked fingers had handled our passports and iPad, the clerk did give us two rooms (my shower and toilet were not completely clean), but the process was unnecessary and the last thing tired people needed. The place had a slightly seedy vibe, so my wife stayed in the second room with our adult kids.
The breakfast was ok, the morning clerks were very nice, and the cost was reasonable, but I would not recommend this place unless there are no better options.
