We stayed at the Holiday Guesthouse because of the great reviews. They weren’t wrong. What a treat. Angela is what makes it super special. Our room was quiet and dark and had everything we needed. This B&B was a good choice. The bedroom is small, with a separate, modern bathroom and laundry which was so convenient. No place to sit, other than on the bed, which wasn't ideal. The breakfast cooked and served by Angela was exceptional. In fact Angela is the most important asset to the property, she is wonderful. The location, facing the street, was a bit loud at night, mainly from the scooters racing up the hill constantly.

This was our PERFECT Salerno “launch pad” for the Amalfi Coast vacation. The train from Naples took us to the historic Salerno rail center and even with two rollable bags, the walk to The Holiday Guesthouse was an easy and mostly flat 12-minutes. Easy instructions from Superhost Angela and we were in. Clean, very modern design and fixtures and great queen bed. The next morning Angela prepared a wonderful breakfast and assisted us greatly in the equally short walk to the Ferry dock for the stunning cruise to majestic and historical Amalfi. We could not be more happy travelers. 5-stars all the way. Bravo!

Angela is a born hostess who really made us welcome at her B and B. It is a great base for exploring the area, Salerno is just the right size - it has good transport links to the rest of the Amalfi coast and Paestum and is lively but it also has a more calm, relaxed feeling than bigger cities. Holiday Guesthouse is a great central location, easy to walk to bus or train station and Angela has very good advice and tips for the area. We absolutely recommend it, it was by far the best place we have stayed in Italy, a top hotel standard room, absolutely clean with great shower and fantastic breakfast and the lovely friendly owner!

This was a wonderful bed and breakfast today and being an absolute delight. The breakfast is provided by a local pastry shop and is fresh. The coffee is fantastic and the owner Angela is as well a source of information to help you understand how to get around. It is an understatement to mention how clean it is - spotless!. Fantastic and so centrally located to everything in Salerno. The next time I’m in town, I will definitely stay here! Thank you for everything.

Angela was amazing she was very helpful and answered any questions we had, the room was clean but very basic , walls definitely need to be painted as paint is very scuffed up and I wish there was a duvet on the brown comforter, furniture could be a bit more sturdy but overall the room was clean and bathroom was a decent size shower was also clean with good water pressure. It was in a convenient location and easy to walk everywhere. Angela even arranged a taxi for us to go to catch our ferry on the day of check out.

If you are planning on spending a few days in Salerno, this place is ideally located - within walking distance of the train station, the waterfront, and many bars and restaurants. The room is small but is clean and tidy and contains everything that you would need including a well appointed bathroom with a great shower. Angela is the perfect host - her communication is excellent, her attention to detail is impeccable, and nothing seems to be too difficult for her. She personally prepares and hosts breakfast each morning (she even prepared a travel breakfast for us because we had an early morning train to catch) and is willing to share her knowledge about the area and recommendations for activities and places to visit.

The best

If you are looking for a great stay in Salerno, look no further. Holiday Guest House is very comfortable and quiet, yet located within minutes of many great restaurants and the pedestrian shopping area. The ferry, train and bus stops are all located within a ten to fifteen minute stroll, as is the Lungomare, walkway along the seafront. Not only do you get all this but you get Angela. This hostess goes above and beyond to prepare fabulous breakfasts, give the best suggestions and goes out of her way to make your stay memorable.

We had a wonderful time at the holiday guest house. I was there with my two adult daughters. We had a lovely spacious modern room that was in excellent shape. The breakfast was wonderful. The location is very central and it is a short walk everywhere, Angela, the host, is extremely helpful. We loved Solano and part of us loving it was that Angela and the holiday guest house made everything especially great. Angela was very helpful and helping us arrange a driver so that we could visit the different towns on the Amalfi coast. She was very helpful and suggesting how to book for Capri. Everything was perfect.
