First of all, this is not a hotel. It is a bed and breakfast type place. It is in a hard to find area of old town Salerno. It was a very unique or different experience staying here for one night but Angelo went out of his way to make sure everything worked out well even securing us a taxi the following morning to the train station. It is well worth staying here but no elevators!!!!

What luxurious accommodations! The summer home of a Marquis from the early 1800’s with original frescoes and terra cotta floors. The host, Angelo, spoke English and was helpful in every way. We had a delightful stay in a historic building that oozes charm.

Un peu étrange de ne pas pouvoir sortir de la chambre sans la clé. Mon épouse était sorti déjeuner et j’étais embarré dans la chambre car juste un set de clé.

A lovely character filled property ( a former mansion) in the heart of the old town. The rooms were very large with double height ceilings covered in the original decorations. The whole place was very charming. Angelo( the manager) couldn’t have been more helpful in dealing with our various requests and helping with transportation. I would recommend this hotel.

Casa santangelo was great. Close proximity to the beach and great restaurants all within walking distance. Felt very safe. Even though the street gets very busy in the evening to late night it’s still surprisingly very quiet. Angelo was very helpful and accommodating and would respond in a timely manner, which was very much appreciated. Despite being a walk up it wasn’t very difficult to navigate. I would return should I visit Salerno again, and would highly recommend others to stay here too!

We stayed at Casa Santangelo for 3 nights. The Palazzo is a walk back in time. We had a beautiful large suite with 2 showers. It was extremely spacious and historic which was great because it is in the historic part of Salerno and close to the places you want to visit in Salerno. We were walking distance from the water as well as train station( not with luggage). Angelo was great. He greeted us and helped us bring our suitcases upstairs to 2nd floor ( no elevator) and answered all our questions professionally. He also helped us with our luggage when we left and brought them down to the main road to the car we rented. Thank you Angelo. Although there are cafés near by I would have liked some continental breakfast offered. Other than that we liked the place and would surely come back.
