Cody at front desk was an ACE! A problem solver, a peace maker, a fantastic host and deserves a RAISE after last night.
We received a complimentary upgrade on our initial booking. The jacuzzi suite?! AND a late checkout?
We were tickled pink!!! We were just happy to be away for a night.
I joked with Cody as I was headed to the elevator about how my last stay in one of the king suites, we had the loudest most disrespectful family staying above us. And laughed it off, assuring me the hotel was quiet on a Monday night, hence the lovely upgrade.
We head to the room, it smells fresh, it’s airy and spacious. The tub is clean, lovely bathroom. Blackout blind is perfect, the sofa bed could be replaced for esthetic purposes but I don’t care about that.
The bed… not my favourite feature. Hard and springy.
I was looking forward to relaxing BIG TIME.
We unpack, have a shower, slip into the comfy robes and sit down to eat when… The ceiling almost caves in from the rumble of people running and jumping and tumbling. The walls are shaking.
Out of all 5 rooms rented out in the place on a Monday night!!! I couldn’t believe it. Spoke with Cody 3 times between 4:30pm and 10:00pm before they got moved out to the first floor somewhere.
I felt terrible for Cody, he was so nice and offered me a comp mini bubbly and some soft soft drinks. He assured me they’d be moved.
I spoke to Expedia, I did get a little credit but all and all. We couldn’t sleep after that, bed was 👎
