The lady that runs the House (the Owner) is lovely. She was keen to make everybody welcome. Breakfast was lovely when served with other guests whom we got to talk to. The grounds of the house are a real joy to see with great facilities well kept. I would stay there again.

Hidden gem

This is a lovely spot in the middle of woodland. We stayed in a little apartment that was generally well kitted out. Probably suitable for a night or two. The room was clean and warm especially good for a night in February. The owner was very friendly and brought us our delicious breakfast on a tray in the morning. Our only concern was the bedroom area which was up steep stairs with large gap in the railings over the living room. Overall we had a super stay and would come back

This is a totally worn out location. Very bad state of the room and its accommodation. Lovely lady host and beautiful garden estate do not compensate the bad night for our family stay. Luckily it was only for one night.

It was very good and unique surrounded by forest it was i little oasis. The host looked after us very well, we had a nice breakfast with other guests a first for us.

We had a lovely stay at La Faisanderie with our 2 young children. We were met by the lovely host who really made sure we felt welcome and we were comfortable. The kids had the best time seeing all the animals and swimming in the amazing big pool. We hope to visit again soon, thank you for a lovely stay!

Comfortable cottage in the woods

The cottage is charmingly located in the woods with a collection of pet animals including dogs, horses, ducks, peacocks and chickens. There’s a welcoming swimming pool by the side of which we took our breakfast. The accommodation was in need of some TLC but was otherwise clean and comfortable.

The wooden bungalow needed a good clean. There were lots of Spider webs, spiders and dust. Quite a lot of ants so couldn't eat or drink on the porch. Breakfast was left on the porch table and ants and fly's we're on the food and in the fresh orange juice. We didn't sleep very well due to the bugs and heat. Only fans and no air conditioning.

Une expérience hors du temps

Un accueil exceptionnel, une maîtresse de maison d’une gentillesse et d’une bienveillance extraordinaire. Un ancien relai de chasse qui a trouvé une seconde vie au milieu d’animaux libres et fantastiques. Une pause vraie. A recommander absolument.

Il manquait des informations exactes comme quoi on devait ramener notre petit déjeuner alors qu’il était servi au matin ! J ignorais également le contenu de ce déjeuner, la cuisine est très sale, même la table ronde extérieure aussi avec un mégot sur la table, je ne me sentais pas à l’aise … je suis sourde il manque vraiment un accessibilité surtout à mon arrivée, le portail était verrouillé avec un collier…

Le cadre est vraiment chouette, verdoyant, déconnecté, avec des animaux. L'hôte est arrangeante, elle nous a mis un lit parapluie à disposition. Mais gros bemol sur l'état du logement: entretien et menage à revoir ! (Velux avec volet qui ne ferme pas totalement et laisse passer le jour, paroi de douche qui nous tombe dessus et ne ferme pas non plus correctement, on finit par mettre de l'eau partout, nombreuses toiles d'araignées avec leurs occupantes, saletés au sol et sur les meubles...) Pas top avec un bébé.

La gérante du gîte m'a offert un accueil chaleureux. Par ailleurs, le cadre est très reposant : les chambres se trouvant en bordure de forêt et des animaux parcourent les lieux librement. La chambre était propre et chauffée à l'avance. Enfin, le petit-déjeuner servi sur le pas de la porte a été agréable. Je recommande vivement !

Expérience désastreuse à La Faisanderie

Malgré un accueil charmant de Laure, je ne peux que dénoncer une pratique que je considère malhonnête. Nous avions réservé une suite studio familiale pour deux adultes et un enfant, et à notre arrivée, on nous a attribué une simple chambre familiale, très différente de ce que nous avions réservé. Pire encore, la chambre attribuée empestait les égouts, rendant l’air irrespirable. Nous étions à Bourges pour le championnat de France de karaté de notre fille, un moment important où elle devait pouvoir se reposer dans de bonnes conditions. Au lieu de cela, nous avons dû quitter les lieux vers 22h30 pour chercher une autre solution en urgence via Hôtels.com. L’excuse fournie par Laure ? La suite studio familiale ne serait accessible que pour des séjours de plus de 3 nuits… alors pourquoi avons-nous pu la réserver ? Et surtout, elle a affirmé à Hôtels.com que la suite n’était pas disponible, ce qui est faux. En consultant les autres avis, il semble que ce genre de substitution arrive souvent. Cela doit cesser. La chambre familiale qu’on nous a donnée était vieillotte, nécessitant des rénovations, et ne correspondait en rien aux photos de la suite réservée. Je recommande à tout futur client de bien vérifier ce qui est réellement proposé, et surtout de se méfier de ce genre de pratiques.

Lieu exceptionnel

Notre séjour a été très agréable. L’environnement est exceptionnel, le petit déjeuner très copieux! Nous avons apprécié le logement cosy et chaleureux, on s’y est senti comme à la maison. Laure s’est rendue très disponible malgré nos difficultés rencontrées sur la route avec une arrivée plus tardive que prévue. Nous avons passé un très bon moment à partager nos expériences.
