A unique little hotel in the middle of beautiful St Emilion. The staff were excellent. Make sure to connect in advance if you are driving as parking is quirky.
Lovely hotel. Breakfast was nice. It would be helpful to have a porter for bags as parking is far from hotel. Wonderful location.

Liked: Staff & service
Disliked: Room comfort
AC did not work and when asked if they could fix it, they said they would next week (after our stay). The place is very old (which is its charm), but you can activiely hear everyone in the rooms next to and above you. Further, the pull out bed was broken and had no support under it, so was just concaved in the middle and not usable. Staff are very nice and the hotel is in a great location.
We stayed in the annex. Parking offsite so you have to transportyour bags to room. Reception is on an extremely steep, rocky street. Impossible to navigate if raining or not wearing rubber soled shoes. 5 star (3 hour) dining experience not to be missed if you have the $. Accommodation for special diets was impressive. Pool table in our annex was a fun bonus, but room was musty. Beautiful small garden.
Camille and Max were fabulous hosts at this hotel. Assisted with multiple requests. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of the village. The restaurant does a beautiful lunch which is not to be missed. Best decision of my trip was to stay here to experience St Emilion.
Our stay was beyond expectations. The room and service was exceptional. The Michelin star restaurant was brilliant. A special thank you to the team, especially Camille who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, see to all of our questions and needs.
Our room was much larger than we expected - separate receiving room from the bedroom, and separate toilet from the bathroom (with tub!). It's much bigger than most rooms in Europe, and this is in an old town!
Staff was very friendly and seemed to anticipate our needs.
The hotel was inaccessible by car and we had to drag luggage down a roadway so steep it had handrails! People outside the hotel laughed and talked between 1am and 5 am every night making sleeping difficult. We would not stay here again, although the staff was very nice.
Beautiful accomodation in magnificent town of Saint Emillon. The property in really well presented, breakfast is delicious, the staff are very welcoming and helpful. They do have some private parking but access can be tricky and confusing. If travelling by car, try to avoid arriving on a public holiday in Summer. It's bedlam!!! Also on the communications we received, we were directed to an alternate address to check in. Wrong! Half hour in the sun was no fun. Hopefully they will correct this. Caused a terrible start to our visit but staff soon raised our spirits.
The property is beautiful, and the pictures don’t properly do it justice. Each room looks like something out of a magazine. The staff was terrific and found us a wonderful restaurant to eat in on short notice. My husband and I also enjoyed a glass of wine late night in the beautiful living room salon while our sons relaxed upstairs. The path to get to the hotel is original cobblestone and steep. It may not be well suited for the elderly or infirm, but it’s a unique and wonderful experience for anyone who can navigate.
Beautiful hotel right in the center of Saint Emillion. Our room was truly amazing with the largest bathroom I’ve ever had in a hotel. Despite its age the hotel also had air conditioning which was a bonus. Parking was a challenge. They do have a car parking area but we didn’t find it but got luckily on a parking space that was actually closer and cheaper trying to find the hotel one. You will have to drag your luggage a fair way and the last 10 yards or so is either down or up a very steep, cobbled street which was not easy to walk without bags so I’d recommend traveling light if staying here. Lots of dining options but the best ones do require reservations in advance.
A beautiful property with large, lovely rooms and excellent service.

Lovely hotel, but was disappointed that the suit I booked had a very old very uncomfortable sofa bed, with the worst mattress and they had put an old brown wool blanket on it. Also the pillows were extremely uncomfortable.
