"Stayed for 3 nights .Big room,enormous bed.Very comfortable and warm.Shower was good and bathroom clean. Tea coffee making stuff. Hairdryer,iron and ironing board all provided. Breakfast was very good and plentiful.Lot of choices,hot and cold. Staff were all very friendly and great customer service.Definitely recommended. "

"Staff were friendly, room was nice and clean and it was great to have a Starbucks on site. I probably would have booked somewhere else if I knew there was an event on (Boogie Bingo) as it was loud and the people were rowdy. There was chew, which included police being needed. It didn’t give me much hope seeing a bouncer on the hotel reception. Wasn’t too bad as we went out and didn’t get back until late but I suspect if I intended to go to bed early and rest it would have been a nightmare"

"We booked this hotel and saw some of the reviews and were really anxious about what it was going to be like BUT and a big BUT we could not fault the stay whatsoever. Spa area was impressive with lots to offer well kept and clean. We had breakfast and the food was spot on. Staff were all super friendly and polite. The mini fridge was broken but still fully stocked with a vast array of drinks. Honestly you will not be disappointed if you go. I read the pool was could etc and for us it was beautifully warm maybe the other guests came when something was broken who knows but the place is amazing ❤️"

"The Grains bar hotel was selected over others primarily for its location which had several teenage memories. We were visiting family in Smallbridge, Rochdale ... 4miles away, so very convenient. Excellent greeting and first impressions. Ample seating areas, small bar area next to reception, large brekki, dining room but lacked atmosphere. Other rooms (not viewed incl Wedding venue) available. Good meals and menu. Rag pudding...well! Yes, the parking is a tad awkward, ie circa 20 spaces immediately outside the hotel. On busy nights manouvering into available bays is awkward due to angular layout especially if you are in a large/long vehicle ... but is possible pe. There is an overspill car park which is circa 25m x 25 squar immediately below the main car park so up steps to the hotel. Clean & tidy room, however well used and could do with refreshment. Staff very attentive. Would go again. Always room for improvement nence score."

"Absolutely charming! The owner and staff outdid themselves with welcoming us later in the evening and making sure to seat us in the quite lovely dining room for a hot meal before retiring to our spacious guest room upstairs. The room was today and had lots of thoughtful amenities: tea, coffee, a variety of snacks, lots of toiletries. Breakfast was very good and served with warmth and hospitality. Definitely a wonderful place to stay. "

"Absolutely perfect stay cute little place, came as a surprise stay for boyf birthday. Probably booked somewhere else until I saw here an the other place wouldn’t decorate and the owner said I could here so booked to stay here instead it was lovely, cosy we arrived quite late so will have to come back and stay from the check in time to enjoy the views and relaxing vibe. Definitely will come back 5* an he loved the treat Thank you. Also it doesn’t have a tv and I know people choose these places for that but I brought a little projector with me and used the cabins WiFi so we had Netflix on the roof. Only thing is it was that cosy we fell straight to sleep til the morning haha xxx"
