The DelaSol Sapa Hotel has a lot going for it on the surface. It is located right in the center of Sapa town, which is incredibly convenient for exploring, and our room was clean. Unfortunately, that is where the positives end. We explicitly booked a "Garden View" room through Expedia, but upon arrival, we were given a room looking directly at a fire escape. When we raised this issue with reception, we were completely brushed off and told that this was simply "the design of the hotel." If you read through other negative reviews, it becomes obvious that this is a recurring issue the hotel refuses to resolve. DelaSol prices and sells its rooms based on the view, making it entirely unacceptable to market an obstructed fire escape at a premium "garden view" rate. It is a blatant bait-and-switch. And it gets worse. We specifically booked this hotel because the Expedia listing stated it had a pool. Lo and behold, on our second night when we went to use it, we discovered there is no pool. It has never existed. When I showed the staff the Expedia listing, they didn't care at all. At this stage, it goes beyond a mistake; it is blatant false advertising. Further adding to the inconvenience, they have no secure luggage storage room. If you need to leave your bags, they just sit out in the reception area where absolutely anyone could access them. Stop misleading guests with inaccurate room descriptions and fake amenities. Feeling ripped off.

The views from the room are amazing. The hotel is very modern with a great breakfast. It is central so all the main areas are walkable. Even though it is central the rooms with a view are quiet. I would definitely recommend a room with a view and we chose the deluxe room. The staff are helpful and friendly.

The property was lovely, the room was large and comfortable and the view of the mountain was amazing! Breakfast was great with many options. Staff were welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Location was great for being within easy walking to the downtown core and access to the Sapa Station to get to the mountain cable car. The room was quiet and beds were super comfy!
