Save yourself the headache and do not book this property through hotels.com. I booked this property for a family of 5 for Memorial weekend. One of the most busiest weekends in Ruidoso. This property was booked in advance because we knew there was limited amounts of properties available. Our check in date was Friday and checkout date Monday. I booked this property through Hotels.com and arrived on the property Friday. We unpacked all our belongings for the long weekend and stocked up on groceries for our 4 day stay. We had an early baseball game Saturday, had lunch at the property and showered to get ready for our day to discover things to do with our 3 kids for the day. As we were leaving the property another family arrived stating that they booked the same property and were checking in. It turns out the property is listed on multiple sites and Hotels.com did not communicate our booking with the property managers and double booked the property. Our family was forced to vacate the property immediately. After explaining our situation with customer service and the property manager they refused to accept our receipt and booked confirmation. We let the property manager know we will need time to pack all our belongings, groceries and sort out the housing issue for the rest of the weekend. The property manager arrived threatened to call the police when they actively saw us packing our belongings. With no where to stay it took 2+hrs for Hotels.com to find us a place to stay.
