"This hotel is very convenient for business with some of the nearby international entities. However there is not much of anything else around the neighbourhood. What makes this hotel great is the staff. Without exception they are excellent and in particular the bar and restaurant staffers. You can have great amenities as this hotel does but it is always the staff that makes the difference and in this case you could not do better. "

"Excellent. Every staff member interacted with was pleasant polite engaging and helpful. Perfect location walkable to everything we needed and they’d rented bikes to allow us to explore a little further afield. Definitely would recommend and would stay here again."

"This is the 10th time I stayed at The James hotel. Best price for a hotel in the centre of Rotterdam. Very clean, friendly, professional service. Spacious room, nice bed, bedding and pilllows. Situated between the Lijnbaan en de Coolsingel. Everything is within walking distance. TV connection could use some improvement. A lot of connecting/buffering."

"Our stay was very enjoyable! The location of the hotel was perfect for a couple days spent in Rotterdam before our cruise as the cruise terminal is right across the street. The room was very comfortable, the service was great! We arrived early and the front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating, offering our luggage storage while we had our brunch and checked us in early. The decor of the hotel was really unique! However, the room would use a few more shelves and lights. The breakfast was delicious with a lot of various choices and absolutely worth it! We would highly recommend this hotel for any visitors! "
