「We had a good stay, wouldn't return. Weekend breakfast timing is 0800-1000 but we were offered 0700-0900 as the only people in the hotel and the owner had other plans. We asked for 0830 and he put 0800. Later we asked for closer to 0900 and we were told that not possible, we saw them drive off after serving breakfast. The room was good, loose floor tiles in bathroom and only one bath mat despite a shower and separate bath. No snacks and poor selection of hot drinks in the room. Hotel is clearly...

「It seems this hotel hasn't been updated since the 1960s. The carpets were worn and discolored; frankly, we were scared of catching a skin disease if we walked barefoot. With no disposable slippers provided, we wore socks the entire time. A "we don't care" response twice to my message the day before check-in should have been my first clue. 「A truly lovely hotel. The room was superb, comfortable, warm and a fabulous bed. The food in the restaurant was delicious and a great choice at breakfast. All the staff were so professional and super friendly. Would recommend to anyone and will definitely stay here again.」

「Cottage was in a beautiful setting, peaceful and rural. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Hot tub was perfect. Beds were ridiculously comfy and with the peace and quiet we slept like logs! Tracey the owner was friendly and welcoming and gave us lots of helpful information about the area. And we even had a fabulous welcome from Bella the puppy! We will definitely come back and recommend it to others.」

「Absolutely delightful hotel. Me and a friend booked a room each for the Hay Festival, and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The staff were wonderful; helpful, friendly, even showed us to our rooms. The location was great, not too far away but far enough that I’d was quiet and tranquil. The breakfast is well worth the money, as is the Old Barn pub across the road, where we ate that night. A fantastic stay, I can’t wait to return with my husband next time.」

「Food was good, I had one of my favourite meals ham, eggs and chips 😋. Cooked Breakfast, toast, orange juice and cereal available. Room was clean and tidy, the bed was very comfortable, I was overlooking the main road but it got really quiet around 11,pm and I slept like a log. Would recommend, good for the price.」
