"Overall this is a beautiful property with the potential to be a wonderful resort, but they just aren’t sure yet what they want to be. They advertise as a tranquil, quiet escape, but they also cater to families. While we were there the place was completely overrun with screaming children. And inattentive parents. There was no where to go on property that was peaceful or quiet, including the spa, They have rules for kids (limited hours in the pool) but they are not enforced so it was difficult, (impossible) for adults to use the pool. The lobby bar area was overrun with families on Saturday night so there was no where to go to have an adult dinner (the dining room was full with families and kids running around). I love kids, but was looking for a peaceful two day getaway. I hope they can figure out a way to accommodate everyone on this lovely property."

"The room was spacious and very clean. The hotel is in a great location and has good parking. The staff was very nice and accommodating. When we arrived, they gave us a room on the first floor that had an issue with the air-conditioning. Once I pointed that out, they upgraded our room, we were placed on the fourth floor with an air conditioner that worked beautifully. This is the second time we stayed at this hotel and I would not think of staying anywhere else."

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable, making it a perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. The breakfast was absolutely delicious with a great variety of options to start the day right. The location is ideal, within easy walking distance of all the main attractions, which made getting around incredibly convenient. What truly stood out was the staff, who were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. Overall, a fantastic experience, and we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!"

"It was lovely and memorable and we truly enjoyed our stay and visit. The property's location is amazingly breathtaking, the staff attentive and professional and the food was wonderful. The breakfast buffet provided a variety of delicious bites for a diverse palate. Strolling or driving around the town was fun with something amazing to discover at every corner. Although the heating system didn't work too well and the windows weren't able to close efficiently, it was expected and managed by drawing the curtains closed. The room had some dust and cobwebs along corners, window sills etc., but it's a historical place, so again, expected. The bed was very comfortable and there was ample space for storage. We wished we stayed a few more days because it was worth the experience. The views from the room were magnificent. A bottle of wine was provided and that made for a sweet souvenir. Thank you Pousada Castelo de Estremoz for an unforgettable accommodation. "
