Staff was superb! The hotel part of the pub was definitely older and no lifts. They put us on the first floor, which was a BIG help for us. The stairs were a bit steep and carpet was worn, but beds were "ok". (Clean, yes) Amenities were limited, but that was ok The breakfast was pretty good, to our liking. They allowed us to store our luggage for a bit after we checked out so we didn't have to lug it around with us. . . again, the staff was superb and very friendly and helpful.

Lovely Grade II Georgian building, excellent staff, room is tidy and functional, breakfast is superb and right in the centre of town near everything you need, i have stayed multiple times and always book here, the rooms need a bit of TLC for a romantic get away and it would be nice if the had a Deafguard for visitors with hearing issues for the fire alarm. Would i stay again? yes already booked for next month.

It was a family get together and I only needed a place to sleep, breakfast was a bonus. Not the best area of town but that didn’t matter, however I am disabled and staff did help with my stroller with the steep stairs. It was cheap and clean and it was very good for what I needed. There wasn’t a pool.

This time stayed in room 7 . Room okay but needed a revamp. Guy tried to get into the room at 00.30 am. He did apologise to us in the morning. They changed continental breakfast to cooked breakfast. We send it back twice.... New cook apparently.
