「Spacious cabin.Bur the Gas had run out so we had No Hot water or able to use the stove top.Very disappointing considering we had paid $248.50 for the night.The caretaker really didn't care.His response was its out of our control when the gas runs out.No offer for any compensation..」

「There is no staff on location, so if anything goes wrong, you get a sorry via text. The main phone number is disconnected. You can't actually reply to the text that they send you the information from. Personally I'd give it a wide birth.」

「There is a restaurant and bar downstairs. The parking space is crowded. The accommodation conditions are simple and the bed is narrow.」

「There are no staff. This is a self-serve property. It works quite well. But the walls are incredibly thin. A person talked - not shouting or fighting, just talking - for 3 hours non-stop in the room next to us (finally stopping at 2am) and I could hear every word. The person in the room on our other side thought it was us (so could hear it 2 rooms away!) and was kicking the walls until I shouted that it was another room. Onsite staff would be useful in a case like that.」

「Hillcrest Mountain View Retreat is a hidden sanctuary. We hit the jackpot when we were searching for accommodation in the area to attend a wedding. Its location is nothing short of spectacular and the 360 views are breathtaking. Hosts Craig and Paul were so warm and welcoming, and a wealth of knowledge about the local area.
