Cuarto malo, con buen servicio

No fue lo que esperaba, nos cambiaron el tipo de habitación, nos dieron lo que pareciera la última opción de sofá-cama y en la noche había un poco de aire de la calle. No había mucha privacidad. El servicio de la persona encargada por el contrario fue muy bueno, siempre intentando que fuera buena experiencia.

Voor ons was het niet duidelijk dat je bij iemand in huis slaapt. De dame spreekt gebrekkig Engels en was niet aanwezig toen wij aankwamen. Zij liet ons de kamer zien en plofte zelf in een stoel om vervolgens een relaas over haar verleden te geven. De voorzieningen (toilet en douche) deel je en ruiken niet fris. Het hele huis ruikt zuur. Gelukkig konden we in onze kamer een raam open zetten en viel dat nog te doen. Ze vertelde de hele tijd dat ze nog een handdoek (naar één stuk aanwezig) en een kussen (ook maar één aanwezig) zou brengen. Dit is niet gebeurd. We hebben het ontbijt aan ons voorbij laten gaan, omdat we eerder weg wilden dan gepland. Het wisselgeld voor de betaling had ze niet, want wij zouden later ontbijten (?) en moest bij een andere gast vandaan komen. Geen aanrader.

This is a bed and breakfast run by a very lovely lady, 3 rooms and a shared bathroom but this wasn't a problem. Very quiet house and I didn't know the others where there till we met at breakfast. Close to the railway station but difficult to find. The unit is in an apartment block. There is a lift to the 2nd floor which is good but the stairs to the bedrooms are steep.

A little piece of Hell.

I got to Rotterdam later than expected so didn't have time to get to a campsite (I should have made time!) And found weena house on Trivago for €55. So I rode around for ages following my Garmin and could not find it. I asked a taxi driver, he had never heard of it and then went into another hotel to ask if they knew. After a Google search the receptionist rang weena house and spoke to someone who then hung up on her. So I find the place, it's an apartment within a block of flats done out in a very strange Louis the 14th style. She said she didn't know how I had made the booking and she was not expecting me. So I said fine I will find something else. So she said no I will sort it out for you. Made up a sofa bed in the office/ living room. If it hadn't been so late I would have done one. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs!

Solo traveler...great area right by the central station very convenient you just exit the train station go to the right and walk for five minutes you go past the green building then there’s a big apartment building that’s white and you’re there . The host was very helpful she had a lovely home Full of antiques and she brought fresh flowers every day I was there, very homely my bedroom Had two single beds in it and was more than adequate for myself , The house was very clean there was a separate toilet and shower which made it convenient when you’re sharing the shower with lots of hot water and there is also a bathtub there , I asked if I could use the washing machine that was there but she insisted on doing it for me for five euros which was very kind of her. It was in a great location which meant I could walk anywhere I wanted to go 10 minute walk to the shops and stores wearing fancy nice restaurants.

Mevrouw is aardig maar praat erg veel, ook over prive zaken. Jammer dat ze alleen onduidelijk Engels spreekt. Doordat er ergens iets niet goed was gegaan in de planning was ze overboekt en kregen we een slaapbank in het 'kantoor'gedeelte. We mochten de woonkamer gebruiken om te zitten. Overigens is het te warm in de b&b

Señora muy servicial, de trato muy agradable y facilitadora de todo. Muy contento con la estancia en la casa. Habitación con decoración vintage, 3 habitaciones, a compartir baño y ducha, pero muy tranquilas. Desayuno correcto, incluso dispuso para mi pan sin gluten.

Departamento cercano a Rotterdam Centraal

Está muy cerca de la estación central, es un edificio viejo con elevador, la dueña de la casa fue muy amable y agradable, el lugar es un poco oscuro pero muy limpio. Para nosotras fue una sorpresa encontrar que el baño era compartido, no recuerdo haber visto en ninguna parte de la página del hotel ni de expedia que la habitación no tenía baño. Aun así, estaba muy limpio y en buenas condiciones. La habitación era muy pequeña pero tenía un balcón agradable. TV. Desayuno incluido abundante.

excellent location, owner was like a maiden aunt, breakfast excellent, room size good; small b&b on the 2nd floor of a multi-use building as we have so often run into in europe; owner is having some renovations done so there were a few small problems; no lamps in the room--only an overhead, room is up a narrow flight of stairs so we opted to leave the cases downstairs & take daily clothes needs up by hand, all of this should be remedied by end of renovation; excellent price for services provided & b&b just 2 streets from the train station; would use weena again

Homely welcome.

Weena house is just that it's a womans house. The house is within a purpose built housing block on the side of the main rail line and within walking distance a 7 minute walk from Rotterdam Central station. It is on the 2 new floor with elevator access. The owner Tatjana is Russian but has lived in the Netherlands for many years. She is jolly and like your best aunt. The rooms are small bedrooms decorated in a flamboyant style. The bathroom and separate toilet is shared with her and the possible 5 other guests. Breakfast was included but this is staged as there is not enough room in her kitchen table for any more than 3 at a time. The breakfast is typical Dutch with cheeses cold meats coffee tea and breads. An egg choice is on offer to. There is not a lot around the area no shops or cafes/ restaurants, all are a few blocks away by walking. You are near all that central Rotterdam has to offer. I enjoyed my stay in this bed and breakfast establishment. It was not a hotel and may not suit everyone.
