Popular places to visit

Puente Viejo and Casa del Rey Moro. Interestingly, both these landmarks have deceptive names. Puente Viejo (Old Bridge) was built in 1616 upon the ruins of an earlier Arab bridge, and thus is certainly older than the 18th-century Puente Nuevo (New Bridge). However, if you continue a bit further downhill you'll reach an even older bridge that does date from the Arab period. Oddly enough, this bridge is sometimes called Puente Romano, even though it was built by the Moors. Casa del Rey Moro translates as "House of the Moorish King", but the building that stands today was built in the 18th century, long after the Moors were driven out. However, it's still notable for two features: the hanging gardens and water mine. The hanging gardens were built along the gorge walls in 1912 by famed French landscape designer Jean-Claude Nicolas Forestier. If they are open, stop by and enjoy the peaceful views of the gorge. The water mine is a vertical shaft carved into solid rock with stairs leading all the way down to the river, some 60m below

I am unsure about the exact name of this part of Ronda unfortunately, but I know it's definitely along one of the tourist paths! I only spent a day in Ronda, but it was marvelous! The rolling hills and the beautiful architecture combined make for a really scenic visit. Ronda is a couple of hours from Cádiz and a bit closer from Sevilla. Definitely worth a day trip if you're down in Andalucía!

These 11th-century Arab baths are some of the best preserved in Europe. They are situated outside the city walls near the oldest bridge, as it was a Muslin custom back then to purified one's self before entering the city. The rooms are clean and the hotel is very nicely decorated. located next to the new bridge with walkable distance to the heart of the town. parking is fair at €15 a day but it is a bit far on the other end of the town with 10-15 min walk.
